« Epiphone Les Paul Standard »
Published on 06/25/01 at 15:00I took my old beat up kramer to Daddys Junky Music in Albany NY. I was desperately looking for a lefty guitar. I looked all aroud at the cheap feeling strat copies until I came to the end of the line...there she was man...sitting on a guitar stand looking right at me. the guitar is very new and I almost passed out when I saw the 200.00 tag. I believe that was because the pickgueard was missing as well as the plastic tip on the toggle switch which was replaced before I left. They gave me 160.00 for the kramer (American) and I left that store being only 50.00 and change broker.
I love the beautiful shiny finish. The les paul gold logo and the overall classic real gibson tone and feel. neck is nice but had some glue residue on a fret. I am not rich so this guitar was a godsend! Also the neck is set and not bolt-on. the crafmanship in this guitar is stunning!! I will go onstage anywhere anytime and show the turkeys what real tone sounds like! Ill probably get a duncan hot pickup for the neck position. This axe through a crate vintage club tube amp is the real deal.
I wish guitar had real gibson kluson tuners like the old standards instead of epi knock-offs. only complaint here!
A#1 quality and tone for you buck! Very solid axe.
I am still shocked that I came across such a steal today. considering that lefthanded axes usually run you more than rightys!
