I needed a guitar that could play rock, jazz and blues with some good sustain.
This guitar is a beautiful red quilt top unit. It's got bindings allaround and has the inlaid fret makers. Simply great to look at.
It's easy to play and sounds great with a more warm sound than a strat or tele.
It's a little on the heavy side which takes some getting used to.
The guitar quality at first glance and buy was outstanding. When I had it home, I noticed that the treble/rhythm switch was not functioning correctly and had to bring it back to be fixed.
Also, the frets were unevenly made. The shop evened them for me. In the time they did that, the string bridge from the tuners was loose. Fixed also!
Bottom line: The Korean made electronics are crappy. Assembly line made guitars, even though expensive, are sometimes not at all cut out for what they are made out to be.
The guitar now sounds fantastic thanks to a very good repair person at Mars. He realigned the bridges and pickups and did the repairs talked about above.
