MGR/GAZZMAR
« Epiphone Les Paul Standard »
Published on 01/24/03 at 15:00AFTER RECENTLY PICKING UP MY OLD ACOUSTIC AFTER A 20 YEAR BREAK I NEEDED SOMETHING A LITTLE EASIER TO PLAY.AFTER READING REVIEWS ON THIS SITE I OPTED FOR A LP STANDARD BY EPIPHONE WHICH CAME WITHIN MY BUDGET.
PUCHASED FROM AIRE GUITARS, IN LEEDS UK FOR £329.DELIVERED NEXT DAY.
FIRSTLY THE NECK IS A DREAM,THIN ENOUGH FOR ANYONE LIKE ME WHO HAS SMALL HANDS,ALLOWING ME TO GET MY FINGERS ACROSS ALL THE STRINGS EASILY.COUPLED WITH ITS LOW ACTION IT MAKES PLAYING A WHOLE LOT EASIER.ALSO A VERY NICE LOOKING INSTRUMENT SOLIDLY BUILT, YOU FEEL IT COULD TAKE ANYTHING YOU COULD THROW AT IT
THIS COULD BE THE GUITAR THAT GETS ME OUT OF THE BEDROOM.
BIT OF A TWANG ON THE "g" STRING WHICH I AM SURE CAN BE ADJUSTED.ALSO NOT REALLY A CRITICISM BUT WEIGHS A TON SO NOT FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT GUITAR
CANNOT FIND ANY FAULTS WITH THE BUILD QUALITY OF THIS GUITAR ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PICK-UPS COULD BE BETTER.
IF YOU CANN'T AFFORD A GIBSON BUT STILL FANCY A LES PAUL THEN DON'T HESITATE, GET ONE OF THESE
