The tone and sustain are unbelievable. The Burstbucker Pro pickups have a real vintage vibe. Hints of a Strat kind of jangle in the bridge pickup but a much beefier sound than a Strat.
A stock strap lock system would have been really cool since the guitar is so heavy. Swapped the Gibson strings for D'Addario XLs on the first day.
This is a solidly constructed, flawlessly finished guitar. One strum will attest to the quality of the construction.
I own an American Strat and I love it. It's light, compfortable and easy to play but it just can't match the depth of sound and sustain of the Les Paul. Every time I play I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.
