APRS many months of research, non-negotiation and accomplished an infringement, ay is I: the Slash Signature Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop 2008 Limited Edition!
Either it is a name extension, but do not fear and take the time to read this who will want as objective as possible on the guitar sometimes controversial.
In terms of CHARACTERISTICS, my charming prdcesseur Has more than exhaustive, so I'll be brief: the woods are select (limited edition requires), the beautiful is hand assembled in China and the finish is provided by the Custom Shop in the USA. Finally note that the joint body / neck is a long post like the old guitars.
Once finished, hard to find a dtail wrong.
So we end up facing an instrument of choice did not blush before his donkeys amricaines: it's clean, smooth and luxurious (as Goldtop!).
This luxurious feel is reinforced by the hardcase prsence delivered in limited edition with the guitar as well as DIFFERENT goodies, including a strap when even a bit kitschy (but it is a Got question) and a certificate of authenticity signed by the hand of hair (even when class!).
So I put 10 because for the price (733 in the catalog when it was released, about 1000 today) was an instrument excellently finished book in a context collector.
UTILIZATION
As for the handle: it is thinner than on my Ibanez Previous! It falls neatly into the palm and fingers wander there without worries. This is the very first time I fell on a handle that tamed as instinctively as-l. It is personal opinion but as well I find this almost perfect round.
Access in dernires frtes enough boards for a Les Paul because the neck is relatively thin (it's not an RG either!) But above the heel is not the image of a cinderblock as on many other Les Paul.
Ergonomics is good particularly since trs guitar balance (at the same time it is a Les Paul is no surprise). But the o is broken (finally) the myth Les Paul is in regard to the light weight of the guitar: I do not know if it is to select the timber ( tration and thus LGERS because it should not be any nodes) o if the body is pierced like many contemporary Gibson is your exact but good l.
So I put 10 here too because it is shaped Les Paul without the inconvnients rcurrents (weight and trunk release handle).
SOUNDS
Be careful, it attacks the heart of the beautiful: the sound!
Dj empty there is some sustain, but once branch ... have ** in! is impressive as the notes sound a long time! DSOL vulgaris to hide but it is simply enjoyable (we no longer find half of feedback to go on long notes ^ ^) and never before seen on another guitar to my part!
However, it is unclear whether the long post thanks or the quality of wood ... but who cares as is done!
As for clean sounds: the Seymour Duncan can play with a wide range of sounds. Thus, with the bridge pickup was a sound that "slap", but with limited fenderien lot more body when same. With the neck pickup, it has a much more profound, more rich as it is close plutt the sound of a folk guitar (and yes here you can play with the neck pickup clean sound without a slurry indescribable!). The position and intermdiaire SETTING THE Tone control adjusts subtly to the extreme we find the sound research.
For distorted sounds: we find the spirit Slash, the famous trs its full power in high mdiums bridge pickup and neck pickup in trsdfini. Thus, the bridge pickup with the Tone 10 is perfect for the image of Nightrain leads and solos for which ncessitent punch. The neck pickup with him as with the Tone 0 yields the typical sound of Sweet Child O'Mine and is perfect for solos calmer, more ports on the atmosphere.
I play on a Marshall MG100DFX with Vox Tonelab LE and thanks I get this guitar get the sound I was looking for: powerful sound, well equilibrated Defines and out of the mix.
I would also put 10 here because the pickups are really quality. APRS forcment can not do with death but it has a trs its powerful saturation that can nanmoins attnuer and clear sound from sound crystal clear sound more blues. This guitar is versatile but it retains a certain characters.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it now for two weeks and I learn little bit tame in order to get the best.
I found the guitar I was looking, the beautiful is what I needed and it is warm and knowing caractrielle stay versatile.
There is nothing I dislike her.
Dj I could test the Epiphone, Gibson, PRS, Fender and Ibanez, but I never felt this vibration and playing the sound before the impact Slash Signature.
The report qualitprix is more than excellent views to the current market: for 1000 was more than just a logo at the top of Gibson handle and less characters so well ...
