Gibson Les Paul Standard Premium Plus

I picked this guitar up after three years of banging around on an old yamaha junk model that looked much better than it played. I purchased the Les Paul for 2,500 dollars, and have never regretted it.

The action's amazing and plays like a dream, especially blues and electric jazz. I love the cherry sunburst finish(Just like Jimmy Page). The sound thunders and the resonance is untouchable. The sustain is very good. It pretty much plays it's self(well not quite). I stays in perfect tune for days without me touching it. The case it came in has a cool looking velvet cloth that lays over the guitar.

There's really nothing bad about the guitar. The only thing that's different from normal electric is if you push down to hard you get sharp notes but you can always adjust to that yourself, and after a while you dont even have to worry about it.

Nine pounds of raw rock n roll. Unbeatable construction, and the pickups are amazing. A very comfortable guitar to play. Did i mention the pickups are amazing.

If you've played for a while or just want an amazing guitar to rekindel your love for music and guitar, this is the guitar for you. You wont regret it for a moment.

The premium plus' biggest thing was that it had a very nice, pretty top. Aside from that, it's really pretty much the same as any other Gibson out there on the market. The guitar features a mahogany body with a figured maple top, mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, pickguard, binding, hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, two volumes, two tones and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

They're generally solid figured tops, but I've seen PRS and other guitars with better ones. Even Jackson can have more intricate flames. Then again, it all depends on what you're going for. The nut on this was cut properly, and I had no issues with tuning. The frets were dead on, and the edges felt great. I really dug how this guitar played, and it had a nearly perfect weight, weighing somewhere around 8 to 9 lbs.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds pretty good, but they're stock Gibson pickups. I'm not totally crazy about these. The sound average, in my opinion. The bridge is medium output, and it sounds fat. However, it doesn't overdrive the amp like I like my pickups to. The neck is a bit too bright for my tastes, but you can calm it down with the tone pot. The coolest thing is the coil split feature. This allows you to split the pickups to get that almost single coil sound. It makes this guitar crazy versatile.


OVERALL OPINION

The tops on these are pretty nice, but don't go expecting anything like a totally crazy PRS top unless you get lucky. Suhr and Anderson are also ahead of this in terms of figured tops. That said, they look good, sound pretty good, and play nice. Be sure to pay attention to any potential QC issues that may occur, but they're generally lower on these higher end models.

UTILIZATION

Well it's run at 5O's, the big fat neck as we like but not too much grip, amateurs sleeves or ibanez vigier the difference is felt funny! ah the access to acute, it is far from the sg or flying v but it comes at the end has to have the hand, the weight of the legend is also an appointment (5.2 kg for mine) plan a good well padded strap, I immediately said the Les Paul guitar is not a comfortable or easy to play, patience and fighting spirit will be de rigueur to tame the beast, do you get a good sound easy? ... HAHahHAhahhahah the issue here does not arise!

SOUNDS

The Les Paul is seen especially with a good distortion, overdrive will allow you a good pest of blues, the sound is clear ba euhhh fit for the funk eh! though by plugging in a dual reverb neck position there is the possibility to leave a few arpeggios to sound flattering. usually plugged into a Laney VC 30 jcm 2000 and the sound is present, even his big, heavy rhythmic solos pests can get away with anything!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about a year, the standard premium plus an offer beautiful table that flamed under the glare of the sun or floodlights highlight the veins of the maple, tiger limit. I have tried many models before deciding on it was the most comfortable, the sound was a fall in short, I broke down, something I can not explain why it's compared to another standard, premium or custom? I do not know but that's just fine! on the other hand if you buy a gibson made the hand, it's too expensive new (mine is 2003) wait until someone pays a high price and as long as it is thorough and resell a reasonable price ! yes I would do the selection of this guitar with no worries! legend in the hands ca not refuse!

UTILIZATION

The handle is very well sitting upright but I play very low so it makes it really difficult ...
access to the acute ben koi is shit! it is a les paul! ^ ^
the weight is so I'm not a fagot so I do not care, but the balance is strange, it looks pretty sitting back, which becomes a quality defect once standing, she stands alone ^ ^

The guitar is very versatile, I love the big sound and sends it well inside, the clean is EXCELLENT! is the only small down in the metal is a bit less accurate but ... I am still partisans of a "this is not the sound that is brutal but the way to do" (sufit to see little gain or even used by slayer fear factory, and ca not prevent them from being savages)
I play with a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL and settings change every three minutes ^ ^
I like the sound of the scratching means much the vibration of the string clean for all that are put in the fingers pass through the amp, I like this side distortion in surly and angry ...

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this aprem but it's been two months since I played it
I like almost everything about the scratches but I really need to do is live up to the game and I rose ^ ^
I tried the ibanez, jackson of (one U.S.) a washburn, the fender ... nothing to do!
in terms of value for money ptdr of shit! € 2800 a scratch that I NEVER find it's worth it sorry but it's asking too much for a ca scratch, it is so beautiful. (I'll note decendre for the price yours! Well done!)
