Edirol UM-1S

What characteristics have motivated your choice?

price, product quality edirol.
I was initially referred me to a m-audio UNO, but I have read that many users had problems with their yamaha keyboards.
So I searched an equivalent model in terms of price and quality especially. I came across the Edirol products, and returns seemed very good. I looked at a used well-known site, there was one for sale near me for a more than fair price (20 €) plus 2 cables noon.


For what purpose?

I bought it to connect my Yamaha PSS 780 to control VST instruments in cubase

What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard, ...)?

pfff, detailing it, I see no purpose. To summarize, I runs on win7 X64 with cubase 5.

With which instruments or systems you use it? ...

I use it in cubase, to drive one HALion, Groove Agent, and my future VST instruments

The drivers are stable?
yes, no crashing problem.

Are they often updated?
I do not know, I downloaded the latest version directly on the site edirol.

What software do you use most often?
Cubase

Do you ever happen to saturate the MIDI interface and if so, under what circumstances?
No, not yet

How long have you use it?
I use it for this weekend

What is the particular feature you like best and least?
I like: it works with my yamaha keyboard, almost at once: one branch, it works, I also appreciate the fact that we can connect long MIDI cables.


Have you tried many other models before buying it?
No, but I carefully documented on the net to meet my needs

How would you rate the quality / price?
very good.
