Like all equipment afternoon, a mini display 2 digits with a flashing LED for programming. Complicated to program - a graphical interface on PC would have been more appropriate.

I got used to a hundred euros. It was a case.

* With experience, you do again this choice?

The controls are solid, the pedal is very sturdy. The two expression pedals allow various combinations and varied.

Ah yes. The FCB 1010. Brings back memories from high school...when rack systems were new and fresh! Okay, enough nostalgia. This is a midi controller of course. In fact my first ever midi controller was an FCB. Since then I've used about 6 or 7 different ones. This one, obviously was by far the least expensive. As I recall my rack consisted of a mesa studio preamp, a Digitech GSP unit, and a Mesa power amp of some sort. It was quite heavy.

Anyway, let's get to the review.

What are the features? Well the FCB has bank switches for something like 128 presets. There are 10 presets to a bank. You can use CC or PC commands. If you are familiar with midi this is straightforward stuff. It has a whopping 2 expression pedals which I don't think I've seen on any other unit. Now I know some people complain about the feel of these, but honestly considering the price and the fact that they are functional, I think it's fine. I used one for volume and one for wah. Never failed and never felt that cheap. The switches inevitably get criticized too. But I will say they feel great and never broke on me. It's true you get a more tactile response with the metal "switchcraft" style buttons you see on higher end units but hey, if you stomp on it who needs a tactile response? One function that is very cool is the relay switches. I used these with my Mesa Studio to switch channels and effects loops on and off. I was a bit surprised to see a function like this one a unit this cheap because a lot of the nicer midi controller I own don't even do that. Impressive.

What I really loved about the FCB is its reliability. I abused mine badly and it never gave me any trouble. Furthermore, the unit FEELS very strong which is surprising given the brand. People I know bash Behringer all the time, but I have used a handful of their products and find I'm usually surprised by what they can do for the price. The FCB though is far and away an impressive piece of work. Feature wise, it spanks units at 3 times the cost. If you want better buttons and expression pedals, prepare to pay.

4 or 5 years, home studio scene.
Coupled with a boss first VF-1, then a Line6 Pod X3 Pro.

What thing do you like most/least about it?
+ Almost infinite possibilities, you can pretty much set, I'm still out on something not feasible.
+ Strength, it's been many many years ago that I carry around, it is like new.
+ Updating firmware UNO simple = more opportunities and setup a free application Ripwerx (Linux / Mac / Win). It simplifies everything!

- Setting a bit complicated, it must be manual. With Ripwerx, it becomes all the'm very simple.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
No. but I am much documented.

What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Bought 150 euros a few years ago, unbeatable.

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...

I bought it last week and spent some time on it. Originally I had purchased my drive AdrenaLinn 3 with dedicated chip (AdrenaProm) I have not yet received. So I said, well I'll try it with Guitar Rig. I drooled all full at the beginning because I tried to configure everything yourself with the manual without arriving at anything ... And looking on the forums, I found a tutorial on youtube (I think the guy is Brazilian, anyway it's in Portuguese but c is subtitled in English and the video with all going well) and there in ten minutes was set. Since I seem to have rediscovered guitar rig that I no longer used too and I do not know if I'll intaller the AdrenaProm The programming trick is not so problematic that the bed: it is tedious because you have to do 200 times the same manipulation but not really complicated.

For the quality of the controller itself, it is metal with 10 +2 good quality switches are somewhat stiff and resemble those of the boss gt. It is heavy and stable and has a good power supply without transformer (I hate wall warts). on the other hand expression pedals are average, but all appear to be plastoc can recalibrate if they ever malfunction, it is explained in the manual and the tutorial Brazilian posted above (and here: https: / / secure. mtnsys.com / faq-fcb / How% 20to% 20Files/Expression_Pedal_Calibration.pdf). The only thing that bothers me is that if you do not need two expression pedals or switches for both the same price that the vehicle + eprom UNO you can have a boss GT3 or 5 who really more opportunities.

J'update when I received and installed the AdrenaProm!

Update a week later: Well then, I've received, the AdrenaProm, I installed it and I realized I could not do without the FCB to control Guitar Rig and I uninstalled. .. and sale. Weird, sometimes, what we do with the stuff!

What I like most about the FCB 1010 is that it is a fully functioning Midi foot controller that does everything you could ask of it for a fraction of the price that other foot controllers cost. On top of that, most of those other controllers only come with one foot pedal where the FCB has two (very nice). It is also made very well and is not a plastic piece of junk which I half expected it to be since it is from behringer and its fairly inexpensive. Another nice thing is there are additional pedal jacks incase you need more stomps/pedals. So far, there is nothing I dislike about this unit except maybe the fact that there is no USB connection, but that's not that big of a deal. I paid $140 on ebay brand new which for a midi foot controller is an excellent deal. This unit doesn't effect sound as it is only a midi controller. I used to own a Rolls Midi buddy but after months and months of trying to figure out how to get it to do anything besides just changing patches, I sold it and bought this guy, what a good move. Yes, I think if you use midi devices and need to control them with your feet, then this is the best controller you can get for the money. Something else to note, I read in some places that there are some faults with the firmware that the FCB 1010 ships out with like not being able to use the pedals at the same time as the stomps. I haven't run into any serious problems yet, but I do plan on buying the "UNO Chip" for this very soon. The uno chip is designed to fix all of these problems and is very inexpensive. The only problem is it comes from a third party developer and you have to install it yourself. It seems reliable and easy to do though.
