This is a fairly standard Jazzbass with a more imposing bridge, a complete electronic (2 band EQ, which leaves room for disabled passive tone, volume, balance)
The sleeve keeps the rope away from a 4 string, so wide, but is thinner and almost flat fingerboard.

The settings are those of Jazzbass active active and passive passive! EQ flat no difference in level.
Short, well designed and well made.
Even empty it sounds, more than anything I had touched before.

UTILIZATION

The thickness of the handle offsets the wide, flat key surprises the first 5 minutes.
Usability of Jazzbass, weight of a 5 strings (ash), slightly more than 4kg, rather heavy but not excessively.
All sounds are good and the panel is wide. Passive tone does his taf, active EQ is effective. The balance works in 2 cases. So yes everything is possible with Jazzbass.

SOUNDS

OVERALL OPINION

Since 2007, this is my first instrument of this quality, my old Southwestern jazzbazz I kept for DEFRETTER, change the micro, mechanical, the bridge! This one is the very high level of finish, the sound is terrible, if the bass is monstrous, it's worth a good amp! It is a low terrain, passive / active, the finish is very good, an impressive sustain, disconnected we already reports of the quality of the violin, nice handle very accessible, heavier than 4 strings, but it remains reasonable.
The value for money is excellent, it is better than the active U.S. I tested, finishes, sound, versatility. My only regret is not having costs a 4 strings because after a few years I realized that I do not really need, especially not the level to enjoy it, but that is bassist not the bass!
