The Silvertone Jupiter Reissue has received some changes, including the bridge which is now a steel Tune-O-Matic model (instead of the original rosewood bridge), but the trapeze tailpiece is still present. The two pickups that equip the guitar are Duncan Designed humbuckers, with the traditional dual volume and dual tone knobs, but the middle position of the 3-way pickup switch (Blender) works with a dedicated third tone knob which can be used to change the sound of the guitar in this specific position.
The Jupiter Reissue has a mahogany body, a bolt-on mahogany neck and you’ll find the classic white pickguard on the Sparkle Black finish. US price of this guitar is $479.
Second Reissue unveiled by Silvertone this weekend, the 1449 features mahogany body and neck, two Lipstick pickups, concentric volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup switch. Silvertone modified the neck shape and the bridge is now a made of steel instead of rosewood, with 6 adjustable saddles. US street price is $399.
