UTILIZATION

Totally simple. This is a compressor, so we find the usual buttons threshold, ratio, attack, release, gain. Over a gate / expander and a stereo enhancer knob serves to accentuate the spacialité and the definition of the envelope. The switches are added to the compressor bypassed or switch to automatic mode for the attack and release, and to use two separate channels in mono or stereo linked and controlled by a voice.

In short, bought used for next to nothing, worry-free handling. I managed to draw some applications in mixing / mastering, as well as live for the voices (rappeur..!). No manual, but not required.

SOUND QUALITY

Ah ah ah, I have a turntable AudioPhony so I know what you can expect and the questions we are entitled to ask for the purchase of equipment. Here we are on the entry-level professional so go your way. For someone who seeks pointillleux and "sound" or the neutrality is not the appropriate tool.
This is my first analog, given the price and the brand I knew I should not expect quality sound crazy, but I'm satisfied. Live for a freestyle rap session that was recorded I was surprised. I am setting a very, very rapido before the live and there were no worries, no pop, no saturation or other parasite. The voices are clean and balanced and so on. He do his job. I used to mix, I found her a very warm and colorful, too can be quickly and can give great signs of weakness in the midrange and treble see the whole spectrum. The amp has a color a bit special, a little vintage a little cheap but not unpleasant and may have an interest. The coloring comes particularly acute in the main mediums (2000-4000).

In the hip hop beats I've yet to find sounds that punch well but I chose strange breaks and I do not bcp test.

One strange point, the (s) button (s) ratio seems a bit inactive lol when I utlise directly to record the treatment of a separate track (no console), as I myself control the amount of signal that I do not get it very serious, but strange.

OVERALL OPINION

A few months ... I bought it for its price too low and begin to put some hand before choosing one that will cost me an arm and a head.

The more, value for money .. The least worthy of a reliable entry-level (the gain knobs crack ..) but all seems to have held the year anyway, the fact that the compressor / limiter quickly shows its weaknesses in terms of sound quality; although they do their job to know little we not expect miracles. This is a good first compressor due to its price and what it offers, it is complete.

I made the choice that I needed, a first rack compressor to give me a hand, an excellent choice I would do with his eyes closed. Audiophony is a bit cheap and I have no sub stylee, but in the ca-rounded background in this shell has three francs. Perfect for a first compressor for those who want to take risks, be ruined, but is curious or need "urgent", this can happen.
