    Paid 800 new

    Like the midi interface
Hookup your computer and start dailing away
Just about nothing this amp can't do

    It's HEAVY to lug around
    ( thats about it )

    Soild cab construction
the rest is a little lacking
I broke a potimeter and had to break it open only to find cheap parts inside

    I still give the amp a 9-10

Guitar Center for around 500 USD used. I was looking for a nice amp at a reasonable price.

I like everything. Nice effects, warm sound. It looks nice, too. And, it is easily upgraded to a 4x12 with an extension cabinet.

The internal battery will die on you every few years. It's a pain to get replaced but once you do, you'll be playing again, like crazy.

    Built very well, solid construction.

Nice amp, Line 6 is a great company for amps and this one is a prime example of that.

This amp was purchased at Music World in Hopkinsville, Ky. about two and a half years ago. The owner is a friend of mine and we made I traded a G&L SC-3 Electric Guitar & $500 for the AX2 and the Foot control board. All tolled I payed about $1025.00. I purchased it for stage use with my band Renegade!

What I like best is the various array of amp models you can attain just from a touch of the foot control board. Second, is the ease of use after going over the owners manual a couple of times. It appears more complicated than it really is. Next is the foot controller which has two pedals and the controls you need to shift gears on the fly without fumbling with the amplifier itself! The right pedal allows me to control my volume with ease, and the second pedal allows me to add a wah to any patch that I am in. No additional power cord need for the foot board. It runs off a phone-like cable. This amp also allows you to choose amp and cabinet combos. You can take a Marshall 100watt head and set it on a 2x12 cabinet, or a 60watt Fender and stack it on a 4x12 cabinet! The coolest thing that this amp does(at least to me!) is you can make it sound as though the speakers are flared in or out, as if you grabbed the speakers and pushed or pulled on them! Very cool!

It's a heavy son-of-a-gun! I put casters on it to make it easier to move around. Saving new patches is sometimes a trick if you're not paying attention to what you're doing. You can lose your work without even realizing what hit you. Amp cover should be part of the deal!

Very sturdy and well built! I purchased the optional cover to protect my investment.

It's a fantastic amp and very versatile. My band plays everything from old country to Metallica and it has the sounds to support whatever genre of music we're playing.

Bought it at a Firehouse In Grand Rapids... paid 1300.00 for the amp and the floor board...

Awesome... Simply awesome this amp has the ability to switch from completely different tones at the touch of a button... A very versatile unit...

Almost too much customization in one amp...

    High quality

I bought this amp new at Woodwinds and Brasswinds in South Bend, IN when it first came out. I paid $675 for it when I bought a guitar at the same time.

All the great sounds from the amp modeling and built in effects.
Great support from Line Six. Easy upgrades. Separate channel to run a mic, acoustic, etc. that will still play when the main channel is turned off with the volume pedal.
Very programmable. Good manual comes with the amp

The acoustic patches are not equal in volume to the other patches

Well built unit that is easy to upgrade. Worth every penny and if it gets destroyed, I will buy another one.

I play a Godin LXG-SA and it sounds great playing the mag pickups through the main channel and the acoustic and a GR-30 through the aux channel.
Make sure you get the floorboard.

This is one goofy looking amp to say the least. IT has a tone of settings written on the top front panel and the shear look of this amp is grotesque. Not to mention the sound of it is just shameful. Sure you get an all in one modeling amp but this thing couldn't model a decent tube amp if it actually had tubes in it.

I guess this is the first off the Line 6 modeling amps before their were PODs or Spider amps. This amp has just about the same features and effects as the newer ones nut the LED is obviously out dated and so you would have all the setting written on the front.

    UTILIZATION

One thing Line 6 has going for it is their manuals are very clear and easy to understand. They lay out the way you operate their equipment in a way that a good teacher would in a classroom. It is clear and straight to the point. The give you some recommendations as well to help you get started on your quest for tone if you can all it that.

    SOUNDS

The distortion tone from Line 6 modeling amps is just pure garbage! It sounds thin and buzzy which leads me to understand why they eventually went out and got Reinhold Bogner to do their distortion from now on. You cannot find a usable tone for distortion in this amp. No matter what setting or whatever it will always sound flat out terrible.

It really doesn't matter what guitar you use with this thing it will sound like trash. So you are better off grabbing a $99 fender Squire guitar as it will match the quality of this amp really well.

    OVERALL OPINION

These amps have long been fizzled out. I think they were introduced in the 90's at some point and now have been replaced by the spider series and HD series from Line 6. I am a fan of Line 6 products like their delay pedals and the reverb pedals. They have some great units that they produce. But these amp modelers are just terrible.

I have no idea what the going rate for these amps are in this market, but I'm sure you can find it used somewhere for under $200. I would not recommend this amp to anyone. Save your money and get a real tube amp. You be better off in the end.

Transistor amplifier, 2 x 120w! stereo .... bought in 1997! One of the first with the pedal
a guitar input jack and an input jack Aux (cd, bass, drums electr .....), not send / return effect ext
It's a real gas plant, but easy to use, since all the pots are push buttons or front ... it has the distinction of being disconnected at HP, to use the stereo output table with headphones or direct simulation firms (they are all there! 1/2/4 hp)
Noise gate, hum filter, gain, and reverb acute and bss from Aux

5 different reverb settings ts + + level
4 types of tremolo settings + ts
6 types of flanger or phaser or chorus settings + ts
Simulation HP with all types of existing firms ... (15 total)
there is a line of pots that can turn off (on / off) the effects on the sound chosen ....
a last line of pots, which allow reéqualiser, change the levels of effect on the sound selected, without changing the original state .... it can also make an equalization of room!, which means that is to take place on the concert site, on any selected sounds, it may be changed at any time, without changing the original sounds (such as equation output of mixer )..... not easy explain all the possibilities of the craft ...!!

    UTILIZATION

The configuration is fairly simple (it's not voodoo valve!)
    preset sounds are good
the manual is very comprehensive and easy to understand ....

    SOUNDS

This is an amp terrain, eclectic, allowing all possible delusions in a short time
he sounds preset known artists, from which we can work ...
blues, Heavy, single or double coil, it works!
flat ... the delay on cuts change agreements or notes

    OVERALL OPINION

I have since 1997, is one of the first in Paris, I used it on a lot of concerts, with the main bracket that still exists ....
I keep to make the model
it was very expensive at the time, but all integrated, it was really fun ...
Now, he spits a little on some pots, there is very heavy (!)
not a tube amp or hybrid ...
for the rehabilitation and repair crankset (a switch), I do not know where to go!?
I would not make the choices mm, because of the weight and what I currently like music ... a tremolo
boost, delay and whawha on a small all-tube enough for me ...
