HiVi Swans M10 2.1

I use it for more than a month, purchased after seeking opinion on the internet. The brand is little known in France, opinions are essentially American. The products are of American design, and Chinese manufacturing.
Hivi is positioned in the middle / high-end hi-fi and home cinema brand. The M10 is their entry-level 2.1 multimedia speakers.
I could compare with different types of multimedia speakers: Logitech Z-2300, Samson MediaOne 4 Audioengine A5, kits and some little-known brand ...
M10 are among my favorites. The audio is certainly less accurate than the Audioengine (those are so thin that I use as studio monitors), but their record is softer in the treble, which is very valuable for "just" listening to music. The sound of MediaOne's not bad, but rather "boxy", the M10 sound much more open. The Z-2300 fish by their aggressive mids and treble down, but they produce very deep bass.
The main quality of the M10 it is their balance: the bass response is perfectly integrated with nature. The mediums are present, thus avoiding the effect of "hollow" as many kits on 2.1. The highs are pretty sweet. The sound is quite open, surprisingly little altered when it is positioned behind the satellites. To listen to music is a treat, never tiring. The stamps are respected, including acoustic instrument.

Goodies:
- The excellent, fine musical
- Low defined without excess
- Aesthetics rather successful (but less class lacquered Audioengine)
- The audio input RCA (it's still better than the mini-jack)
- Value / Price

Cons:
- Power of the box (it is better to put it on the desk, or just below)
- The RCA speaker cables are a bit short (I had to make an extension)

I am delighted with this purchase. While the Audioengine are two notch above, but they are worth 3 times more expensive. In this price range (bought 139 euros) I have not found better.
