Luxonix LFX-1310 [Freeware]

The Luxonix LFX-1310 is a multi-effects plug-in that I have experience using mostly in Cubase SX 2.0, and later in Cubase 3. It is a free plug-in that I was using in VST format, but I believe also comes in Audio Unit (AU) format as well. It should only take a few minutes to get the plug-in up and running. As far as the interface goes, since it is a multi-effect plug-in, the parameters will differ from sound to sound. Basically it's got a whole bunch of different presets that you can alter with the parameters that come up for each one. It's a fairly user friendly interface, as I remember catching on quickly. A manual won't be necessary for most users.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

For a plug-in that has a good amount going on, the Luxonix LFX-1310 actually holds it's ground pretty well. When I had, it I was running on a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv8000 lap top with a 3.0 Ghz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I used this plug-in all the time and can't remember ever having any issue with it. I didn't run it on every track, but I could have a bunch of them running simultaneously.

OVERALL OPINION

The Luxonix LFX-1310 was one of my favorite plug-ins to use when I was running Cubase SX. I didn't use it for basic signal processing like equalization or compression, rather I used it for reverb, delay, and other effects. The presets are great in that they give you a great starting point to work with, and often end up just getting the job done right off the bat. I can't remember some of the names of my favorite presets since it has been a while, but I really can't say a bad thing about this piece of freeware. If you're running a platform where VST and AU plug-ins are compatible, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't check out the LFX-1310.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use it on an Athlon 3000XP PC with 1GB of RAM, Cubase and ProTools on Mpowered (via the VST to RTAS Fxpansion) in FX, it runs without any problem, no bugs or dcrochages .

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for the past three months, it is part of the software that is "cable" in the FX ds demmarage project. Jaime routing possibilities and the quality of the effects on offer. Cot quality price ratio, say anything, it's a freeware!

I advise everybody to go in this setup, it is of great quality and a significant interest, as an eye Throw away the transition to products of this brand, it's pretty interesting!

it's freeware and frankly I love the color of the reverb and phaser!
the advantage of having a multi effect in 1!
effective dub, reggae and surely many more style!

Free and it's very effective for creativity!
