13 midi knobs + a midi channel selector knob. It's all well and good but it depends what your setup is. If you are using Rebirth or Reason it IS a wonderful model to have. Sometimes you wont be able to control a parameter on your synth if its not compatible.
Price paid
$150
pretty easy. If you have a "learn" option on your synthesizer parameters (like in Reason and Rebirth) then you just need to touch the knob to assign to it.
It feels a bit "home made" but on the other hand it has never failed on me.
I dont use it enough, and would probably love more one of those sweet Doepfter boxes over the phat boy

13 knobs sometimes is a little too few, but mostly that will be enough for anything you might want to use it for.
easy as pie, or at least for me. i suppose the rotating motion of the wrist may be tricky at first! ; - )
seems sturdy.
i use it quite a bit. 13 knobs and a midi channel selector is enough for most people, and probably good enough for you.

LEMASTHO
An old still operational! (BIS)
Published on 04/29/14 at 08:16 (This content has been automatically translated from French)I leave the same opinion as the GMEDIA and I add that it is a controller that does not filter MIDI THRU, so it is placed ideally in a MIDI channel (Ex: Sequencer-PhatBoy-Synth).
I bought it in January 1999 to 1350 F.
I had connected to my DX2 Sound Blaster 66 and at the time, driving an app like Rebirth Phatboy with a class that was too!
I tried and bought a lot of other toys since, but it remains my favorite (Nostalgia)!
1999: I would do this choice (There was not much other to say!).
Today: I could buy one for driving a synth or other (At this point he drives a KAOSSILATOR PRO +)! …
