So I'll just repeat but hey never mind.
Very typical overdrive pedal vintage (used among others by SRV to name him)
Metal box.
Three knobs: overdrive, tone, balance. The latter being the volume.
A switch and an LED.
Alim by mains or battery (9V).
It is not very green so pretty mimi ^ ^
8 because I still prefer the real, and equalization for true bypass.
UTILIZATION
The configuration is made of three knobs, it happens very quickly to his right. It's a pedal that vintage is in overdrive but is still quite versatile. Indeed, one can spend a boost to overdrive a very tough through the small channels crunch crunch reminiscent of some vintage amps.
The manual provides several examples to exploit the possibilities of the pedal up.
SOUND QUALITY
So there! Admittedly, the sound is excellent, there is really a vintage spirit.
In his clear, we come to make the sound of a guitar plugged into any amp transistors very warm perfect for a little blues.
With distortion, this pedal excels at Blues, Blues / Rock in the Rock but also a little on the edge of Péchu Hard Rock guitar and as the amp used.
Personally I use it mostly with Strats, Les Paul and SG (and therefore quite varied) on a Marshall JCM 900 amp and it happens to sound truly great and different depending on the guitars.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this pedal for some six months. I had a Boss SD-1 before and we must recognize that the difference is clear!
I love the versatility of the well it is still very typical vintage (which is the goal).
I used several overdrive and I must admit that the only really suited me was the Ibanez TS-808 but is definitely overpriced. Trying on the Maxon I had the same feeling (but for about € 150 less).
I regret that I still have the true bypass pedal especially at this price!
I would do without hesitation that choice (even if a TS-808 is better because it is already a pure vintage!) But I recommend to all lovers of the old Blues / Rock sound for vintage tube amp without ...
