Moog confirms today what we announced last week, the Minifooger effect pedals are now part of the catalog of the brand.
The Minifooger Series features 5 analog delay, boost, overdrive, tremolo and ring modulation pedals, with prices under $200.
These compact pedals are primarily intended for guitar and bass players, and can be coupled with an expression pedal for advanced controls. A true bypass is included and you can use a battery to power them.
Details of the pedals:
- MF Boost: 2 VCA and OTA signal paths, with gain, boost (12dB and even 18dB with the expression pedal), tone and output level controls ; US price is $149
- MF Delay: from 35 to 700ms of repeats, with color changing when increasing the knob values ; the discrete input stage employs FJET and the pedal uses 4 bucket Brigade delay chips. You can control the Time, Feedback (from single repeat to infinite trails), the wet/dry Mix and the Drive, the latter is a pre-delay circuit providing 22dB of gain to both processed and dry signals. Price: $219
- MF Trem: a tremolo effect using a modulator and a Sub Audio VCO to create effects based on phase cancellation and addition. The pedal features a Shape knob to create sweeping between modulation waveshapes and interacts with the Tone control (which only affects the processed signal) as well as Speed and Depth controls. Price: $189
- MF Ring: ring modulator based on the Moogerfooger MF-102, with a Freq control that tunes the frequency of a carrier oscillator to the root note in a scale, dry/wet Mix and tone (a filter circuit applied only to the processed signal). Price: $159
- MF Drive: an overdrive based on a sweepable 4 pole Moog Ladder Filter, Boutique FET amps and OTA in the drive section. The effect reacts to the input gain and player’s dynamics. Controls available include Gain (pre-filter), Drive (from +6.8 to +57dB, according to the gain knob position), Filter which interacts with the Tone control and Peak switch for the filter (+15dB boost to the filter cutoff), Tone (variable high-pass / mid-scoop / low-pass sent to the FET to color the signal) and output level. Price: $179
