Sennheiser will release in a few weeks a Dante expansion card for the Digital 9000 wireless systems, which was unveiled at IBC.
The EM 9046 DAN expansion card inserts into one of the EM 9046 receiver slot and allows the Digital 9000 to access a Dante audio network.
The card features 16 audio inputs to send audio digital and command signals to the Dante network. Connection is made via two RJ45 ports, which allows for a either redundant or daisy-chain setup. The audio resolution supported is 24-bit / 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz.
Audio routing can then be setup via the Audinate Dante Controller and Sennheiser will update its Wireless Systems Manager software in order to include a monitoring feature for this Dante card.
The EM 9046 DAN as well as the Wireless Systems Manager v4.2 update will be available mid-October.
