a mixer to mix the eight drivers and eight wave input and the input S / PDIF to one of the outputs. very practical, high quality when it has no table mix.

Perfect for multitrack recording.

UTILIZATION

-No installation problem.
It is sometimes necessary to pass the non-ACPI PC mode (as with a lot of pro audio card), but having said that, on my pc and I am in my ACPI AMD 800Mhz and it turns nikel.
Overall implementation is simple and effective.

Ah drivers.
I would say that was not good drivers, but since version 1.21 drivers for WDM, XP or 2000 running IMPECT ca. Terratec has made tremendous progress this the cot. nothing to do with the stability of the time VxD drivers under 98! No crash. Nickel!
So if we limit ourselves to the WDM drivers + XP is perfect. (By the way drivers for mac are in preparation and already available on the ftp site TerraTec in beta)
latency level is correct. (6ms XP has a K7 800 44khz in cubase with some VSTis)

OVERALL OPINION

WELL. VERY GOOD.
While on board as the RME Multiface or Wami Rack offers the same thing, with drivers more "serious" and lower latency. But for twice the price!
So the price is really good and it works especially well (nothing to do with Isis!).

In short if you want a card with 8in 8OUT well made with solid Asio drivers but do not slam a 1000 euros, this is the card for you!

APRS @ 5 years back I give you my conclusion on this card (in fact these three cards in three machines Embedded diffrent)


1 - AMD 1800 + / Win XP Home
2 - AMD 1600 + / Win 98 SE
3 - P 600 / Win 98 SE

The final verdict: Stabilit any evidence in any situation!

I moved a year ago to 32/32 tracks with a console numrique Tascam Dm 3200 / Firewire Mark II, recess has made the world, it is powerful, clean, friendly but food resource and audio streams!

With the Terratec is trslger, and the converter made of beautiful projects in 4 years
I use it always (drivers last days ...) for mixdown in numrique or analog via a DEQ or 24/96 with a dirth of Plugg mastrisation going well.

And with a machine that fills ddi Gigasampler hands down its function ...

This is the feedback, well, well trs!



UTILIZATION

- The quality of the converters is exellent, you can mount the chantillonage 96K which is rare for a map 8in/8out this award

The external box is beautifully made, contacts are sleeping fine gold, the connection is trs heals, the cable connecting the PCI card is sufficiently long and robust trs.

Explanation:

The VIA chipset is not really suited to audio, and must pass the bar of XP-1600, 512 MB RAM minimum, to reach record without clicking and other hassles.

I must say the discharge to the card it does not possde Intgr DSP and quil is difficult to ask for more pout a product in this CATEGORY.

If you want to run this product on top, you will need to invest Intel PIII 1GHz or 2GHz P4 (P4 tell you!) Proc and chip in, not what nimporte motherboard, if you know what I mean!

The drivers have become over time trs reliable, no dfaillance found with machines that run 10 hours a day!

The converters have no envy more sophisticated maps.

The report quality price unbeatable opportunity is great, I insist, and I have no commercial tie whatsoever with that.

It is true that this card is very good for music.
The only problem is motherboards for AMD, of course!
If you make music, do like me, buy any Intel (motherboard + processor).
This Saturday, May 11, I had to buy a set for Intel it works without problem.

What is also annoying, it is entered: while RCA is not great, it would have been better jacks!

Sorry to say this, but the drivers are (forgive me the term employee) rotten!
The updates are almost obsolete.
Apparently, one could run 4 cards together, which is given but questions the drivers are not very stable, I do not see too much interest!

OVERALL OPINION

We will not spit in the soup, it's still a pretty good card when it works.

For my part, is what I wanted to buy. I called from the manufacturer, I have strongly discouraged because they had too many problems.
For roughly the same price, I buy a INCA88 and MIDITRACK2120 (MIDI daughter card) Brand Audiotrack - Egosys (support from Egosys). Very good card but it is similar, Intel takes everywhere!

Anyway, if you want to do it, better buy something that has always been consistent (INTEL) rather than buy AMD and back 15 times to customer service.

MIDI Setup:

Celeron 1 GHz or more (for mainly synths)
256 MB SDRAM PC133
ABIT or ASUS motherboard (premium quality) + Intel oblige!
Hard Disk ATA 100 GB 7200 20-30, it's enough.

+ Audio MIDI Setup:

Minimum PIII 900 Mhz (P4 is better, but more expensive)
256 MB SDRAM (If you buy a P4, take the Rambus)
ABIT motherboard ASUS or Intel chipset +
2 SCSI hard drives: a 9 GB for the system and the MIDI example + a 18 or 36 GB for recording audio.

(For cons do not rely on specific chipset, AC only works with the Intel!)
And if you have a machine and you still want to play games or others from time to time, do like me, buy a rack (a system on an internal hard drive and system on the rack). So if you want to play a game or go on the net, you just have to remove the rack, which comes much cheaper than having 2 computers!
