I use the Micro BR for over 2 years for my songs of Rock. Low-volume to save without saturation (I suggest you put a little bit of audacity compressor on the track once recorded)

Great value for money, cheapest in its class, but if you register with their own amps rather than simulations, then a result of expectations (at the same time it's Roland-Boss, so the quality )

Hint: in the manual they state that the unit is compatible with SD cards up to 1GB, but it was in relation to the cards released at the time of the device, today it supports 2GB easily see one.

1 / I use this 4pistes since 4 years already! I used to save a lot of composting!
I used it as a solution for a long time "recording / mixing / mastering" and now I'm using that recording, I export the tracks. Wav and I do the rest via Cubase.

2 / qualities, faults!
The +:
- Good sound effects made guitar / bass in the clear
- Easy handling, allows mobility thanks to its small size!
- Ability to record in stereo
- Ability to "bounce" tracks to compensate for the fact that it only comes out four independent tracks
- The sound of the drum machine

THE -:
- No simultaneous recording of several instruments
- I find the overdrive guitar effects quality well below the clean sounds ...
- No XLR Input: I use a mixer to record voice
- The SD card comes with is too small! 128MB rarely enough to record a whole song
- No AC adapter in the box with purchase (must be provided with rechargeable batteries!)
- The screen is not too big, and you can not view the tracks as computer ... but hey, this is a matter of habit after.

3 / In conclusion, it is still a great product with a very good value for money.
I had not tried other 4Ps at the time, but I do not regret having started on the micro BR.
Today, I'd rather an audio interface and a 4-track Cubase (I no longer need the effects that it offers 4P, since I now have my own pedalboard).

It's been several days since I use and I am very pleasantly surprised.

First the grip is really damn good, menus are logical in relation to the buttons themselves are really well placed.

I use it myself only last a day, but I am already very comfortable with the operation. I bought it to help me cope, and it succeeded very well.

I like the microphone, I can turn down the volume of the entrance so as not to "peek" during practice with my band (its hard), or up to record my voice through the microphone at the same time as the guitar input jack 1 / 4.

Indeed one can record with 2 inputs at once (like guitar and vocals), but it will not be recorded on two different track but on a track that mixes the two entries. It is of course possible to adjust the volume of each of the tracks.

To the beats of drum integrated, there are several but not really for playing death / black metal, not even a blast beat, which is a small negative since it is what I play. Sounds great! It replaces a multi-effects pedals (I also like this!) All effects are adjustable. Leger blowing but the number is still adjustable.

Effects for low and few micro singing, but adjustable (I said dj, right?) So take your time to know if you want to fine tune
