Hello everyone,

I used the DR-07 for 2 months to register ... the screams of my daughter ;-) This was my first portable recorder of this type.

What I liked:

- Its simplicity of use, no frills or gadgets. That's the big plus point. Its price makes it accessible but with hindsight, I find it almost a bit expensive.

What I did not like:

- It is very, very, very sensitive to handling noise with internal microphones. So much so that it becomes unbearable to press the buttons. Because the quality of workmanship that is correct without more, does not help our case. This is the biggest flaw that I can blame him because it seems that the main asset of this kind of device is to use it without external microphone.
The quality of the microphones is very average, and when you leave the gain setting of "LOW", it blows a lot.

In conclusion: I found it fun to use but a qualitative point of view it is pretty average. With a preamp and an external mic, why not? (I have not tried), but frankly this is not the vocation of the beast. For me, it's a big voice recorder, no more.
So I sold in favor of a Sony PCM-M10 which is indeed two times more expensive but much better.
Therefore, in the end I found almost the price a bit expensive ...
My advice: avoid the DR-07 and put a little more money for another model (maybe the Olympus LS-10 or 11?)
