The POD amp simulator plug directly into the console (or sound card) via 2 analog outputs. There 's a headphone jack, an input and an input / output noon.

So just plug in his guitar to the POD and you go to a modeling of 32 amps legendary. The bass / mid / highs are supposed to represent the settings on the amps origins (eg if the amp was chosen as the bass and treble, the button of the medium will not work). Once chosen the amp can choose from 32 different speakers and add effects (reverb, delay, flanger, chorus, compressor, rotary, and combinations of some of these effects).

In a small red bean, it does not take much space (although it is not rack) and supports Line6 provided very practical option.

UTILIZATION

Usage is fairly simple, there are a number of medium-quality presets for my taste. The only drawback is that each knob has 2 different functions. For example, the right button allows to choose the applied effect, and still pressing a button while turning the same button you access to the choice of the speaker.
Knowing that in general it was his guitar in his hands when you use it, it's annoying but it's a detail.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is superb! it really is a powerful and indispensable tool in my home studio now! Different amps allow you to access virtually any desired sounds (clean, crunch, distortion)! It is better to try to find his own sound rather than use the presets that can be disappointing at first glance but quickly found that the sound in his head.
on the other hand effects are mild but can help ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months and I can not do without! Frankly, in whose home studio can make a good decision-guitar to the amp? not many of us I think. The solution? POD! For the price (about 2500F) I urge all those of you who use beuacoup guitars in their compound, you will surely not disappoint!
Note that it may also be used to change the live sound of your amp but I've never done so I can not judge its qualities in this context.
