Dynacord will introduce powered versions of their D12 and D12-3 cabinets at the winter NAMM 2008 : the D12A and the D12-3A.
Both active models feature the same driver configuration as their passive equivalents :
The D12A boasts an Electro-Voice DL12BFH 12" driver for bass and midrange and a constant directivity HF horn tweeter with the ND2 driver, still from Electro-Voice.
The three-way version, D12–3A, adds a low-distortion Dynacord D6120 neodymium driver for the mids. The constant directivity horn of the D12–3A operates with a DH3 driver from Electro-Voice.
The powered D12A and D12–3A speakers include integrated digital power amplifiers rated at 350W (Lo) and 150W (Mid/Hi) plus signal processing. Input is a dual XLR/jack connector linking through to an XLR output for connecting additional D12A or D12–3A. A level control knob at the rear is also provided.
Both cabinets also include a Voice Coil Tracking Protection system.
The D12A weighs in at 19 kg, the 3-way D12–3A model at 22 kg.
