This rack is wonderful, I would recommend always using an FX loop with this, or a Main In. I run this quadraverb PLUS with my strymon timeline into the fx loop of my AXE FX 2, it sounds amazing. through an amp it'd sound good but it'd be way better with an fx loop ( it could be noisy in front of an amp) I use chorus strings sounds, taj mahal, ballad snare, echo from the left/right, velocity-reverb. Resonator, ring mod, and sampling are super cool too. I use it as a lo-fi slowdive, ride, verve sound. Now I have an PCM 70 rack with the timeline in the fx loop of the axe fx. But now with the timeline I put it on feedback loop/send/return, and hook up the quadraverb on just two flange types, one slow metallic one that sync with the delay repeats on the timeline, and a fast rotary one that syncs fast/sound fluttery/trippy. I also use the sampling and then use my delay loop as well for some really layered tones. the sample is quick so you can make a cool loop that repeats, and then the timeline make more advanced loops over it. then I have my PCM 70 for all the quality reverb/delay sounds. The lexicon is more cocteau twins u2 high fidelity, Pink Floyd from that era. The alesis is more lo fi, the verbs/delays are great, but ultimately, it is not my main go to anymore. But it is a good option in the feedback loop, and as a secondary lo fi unit.

UTILIZATION

Then there is a different kettle of fish!
We must go select a program, then an effect or parameter (~ 12), change the setting and repeat for the other.
I do not think it's super convenient, I prefer the buttons to turn (what the pots), as we see it (or means) immediately change.
The 90 factory presets are not all operation of the technology (much alike).
Personally I use only two or three programs.

SOUND QUALITY

Once we escaped with the settings can be appreciated the quality of the material. Used mainly for effects on the voices, I'm pretty happy.

OVERALL OPINION

This is an effect that date but is pretty robust.
The thing wrong is its power by transformer ... and casually, he makes his weight. With an integrated power supply, it would be a treat.

The Alesis Quadraverb is a multi-effects processor, mostly focusing on reverb and delay processing. I haven't used the in depth features of the Quadraverb, but I've used it enough to get a good gist of what it can and cannot do. As far as connections go, it's got MIDI jacks as well as 1/4" connections for stereo inputs and outputs. It is a digital effects processor, and is rack mountable in a traditional casing (it takes up only a single space).

UTILIZATION

Unlike many digital multi-effects processor like this one, the Alesis Quadraverb is actually pretty easy to use. Like I previously mentioned, I haven't gotten too in depth with the Quadraverb and have really just used the basic features for getting quick sounds. It's got a series of different buttons for choosing different effects and modes, as well as input and output levelers, and page and value scrolling buttons as well. It also features an LED screen where you can see all of your parameters and settings that aren't physically on the unit. I haven't had a need to check out the manual for this, so I can't speak about it's make up.

SOUND QUALITY

While I can't say I'm overly impressed with many of the effects on the Alesis Quadraverb, most of them are more than adequate and a few of them sound stellar. The effects that are featured on this unit include reverb, delay, EQ, flanger, phaser, and a ring modulator. I've mostly used this for the reverb and delay, which I believe are also the most realistic sounds on this and are the effects that have the most potential here. While the other modulation effects are pretty good, they aren't going to blow you away. This is a versatile enough piece of gear that you can use it for any application where you might want any given effect.

OVERALL OPINION

As far as digital multi-effects processors go, the Alesis Quadraverb is a slightly about average piece of gear in my opinion. While not as in depth or versatile as some of the other multi effects processors from this time period, it still has a good amount of sounds to bring to the table. I don't know that I would seek one of these out, but when I've got access to it I'll use it if I need it...
