Already said the plugs but there's everything you need
The effect is the classic recent MPC level (reverb, echo, grunger bit, chorus, flanger ...) It's always cool to put a reverb on a snare tite or sample.
Good sound is a sampler, so you turns the stuff of demos and you go your skeuds.
You can transfer files via USB, super cool, I bought a cf card faster, I gained time.
I put 9 because we can dream of a built-in audio or other optional connections (although DD is possible to install a inside)

UTILIZATION

I come from a MPC500, so I did not have to open the manual, which is in English for me.
It is not lost at all if you are in the world MPC, I really feel like a MPC500 two times better! More effects, q-link, outputs, power ... After ergonomics MPC is a present, but cut samples under OS akai is a shit, go live in JJOS blackjack, it's better. Otherwise it is always a pleasure to use, with the "big" screen in all cases greater than 2 lines of the MPC500.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a month, so I will put mods over time ...
Before I was on 500, and have felt a j'me cramped. Unless you have a 2500 or one of their big sisters, j'pense have found the MPC loooooongtemps follow me!
Fan workflow, I'm a little allergic to software ... But you can escape more!
To € 305 in free pdf cd card or extension, it is a great deal, I had to put € 30 more for a cf and 4GB ram.
Bluntly that I remake this choice is the MPC my life ...
But even this story pad that annoys me more with Akai ...

The MPC 1000 black, is a midi production studio. When I was first unboxing I was surprised by the quality of it. Since its only 900 and something dollars I didn’t think It was going to be as solid as it was. I figured the 5000 and 4000 are that solid because they cost a lot more. So the MPC 1000 really surprised me with the durability of it.


UTILIZATION

Setting it up took no effort at all, the manual is a pretty thick book though and I guess that it has to be because there are just so many things that you can do on the mpc its ridiculous.


SOUNDS

Sounds are great, especially for the type of music that I make. It puts out a real dirty drum sound that I love and I don’t think any other machine or software that I have every used can put out a gritty sound like a mpc can. You can set the sensitivity on the pads the way you want them. They are all touch sensitive so when you are sequencing it can have more of a live feel too it sense it will all be based on how hard you hit the pads. It wont sound like a robot , unless you want it too and in that case you can turn of the pads sensitivity option and just make it all the same volumn.


OVERALL OPINION

I love the MPC 1000, I plan on getting the newest version of the mpc really soon. You can even trade in our old mpc to upgrade at the music store and the great thing is that the mpc 1000 doesn’t lose its value like a lot of other gear does. Most producers and beat makers still want to have the mpc no matter how old they are. it’s a really good investment. The mpc 1000 has really helped me develop my sampling ability. Only bad thing is when I try to chop a large or long song. Like a 5 min sample, sometimes it will freeze on me, or if it doesn’t freeze it will take a very long time to chop it.

The black MPC 1000 is a sampling monster. I had a chance to use it on several occasions though I have never purchase one myself. I can say some of the things I like about it Is how you can layer your drums so easy. I havent seen an easier method to layer your drums on a hardware like this. You can also save all of your programs and kits so they automatically turn on right when you press the power button.


UTILIZATION

Getting started on it was difficult for me the first time because I really had no idea what I was doing. I just wanted to be able to lay down some hardstyle kicks and some snares and mess around a little bit. It took a while for me to get to understand it but once I got the hang of it I loved it. The reason I wouldn’t purchase one of my own is because I don’t sample songs. I feel this is more for someone who does a lot of sampling mainly the hip hoppers. Me I just want to lay down some hard drum patterns but I can do that in software now.


SOUNDS

Sounds of it are really good, it gives a high quality sound. Some of the older mpc provide a more “dirty” sound but I don’t feel like this one does. Or maybe it was just because I was using the standard rock kit that came on board with it. Though I couldn’t really do to much of loading my own stuff on it because it wasn’t my unit to keep . I was just borrowing it and messing around.


OVERALL OPINION

Overall, its great if you want to get into some sampleing and laying down some good drum patterns. I couldn’t imagine trying to do a whole song on it though. I noticed it does have a song feature but to me there just isn’t any way I could do a whole song on it. I would just do some patterns and track them out into pro tools. That is the reason I never really purchased one of these for myself.

Akai OS not terrible, JJOS download! even the free version c is alway better now!

the sound is good ... with good cables and good convertos, so good

OVERALL OPINION

j avai an advan MPC2000. the 1000 is very good, I used men in sampler and MIDI controller for parfoit drum plugins. no failure. Beug some but nothing nasty. JJOS Game Downloads! BECOME ca fuller and clearer!
a bit expensive ... but I find toujour all too expensive! especially in the sound!

for info before I was on software, with a control surface pad and basically I was like the mpc (slice of sample on the pads)


easy access to top ergonomics ... for me ..
few hours of practice, some reading the manual and you come out sth!

functions provided by the bone Additional DD are useful in particular for handling Live (track mute) or complex composition (Step / grid edit)

it is a sampler, but inside the compressor and the mpc groove gives some "color" to all that!

-Effects are very average-
I use a KP3 on one side and the other VST effects on separate outputs.

-Expression -
the touch pad is great! is fun to play, aftertouch is nice too.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6-7months and then I turn on the computer more than special effects paste.

what I like most is how to create with this machine, we seek one searches the sample that makes you want, it is cut, the slice ... then tap, you press rec, is tapped, it passes according to the sequence ... it's really the ideal workflow for me!

I said I'm not the instrumental hip hop huh!

just something negative, exploration of sample - usb interface is soft and archaic, it is better to upstream with a computer!

A little more complicated than a 2000 with Os JJ essential.
I like the resample function to hand out.
In my case I really know the mpc from the first day using the manual so that when AC blocks. And then with time ...

I put some samples made with S950, Sp 1200 and other stuff and it's not far at all.

OVERALL OPINION

All in one I was looking for with the audio and more. I am very happy to have this product. It does not change my way of doing zik but it centralizes all. Cons by the akai OS base is really sucks. The guy who made the OS replacement is a smart aleck.
