Value For Money : Poor
Software easy to use, configurable in seconds.
Can be installed simply enough soundfonts once decompressed.
You can use midi devices without problem.
The online manual is very comprehensive, and user forum provides additional support when needed.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

AMD Athlon 64 X2 (3800 +)
2 Ghz Ram
integrated Realtek audio drivers.

The software works well with an aging computer and peripherals integrated audio (no need for a dedicated audio card)

OVERALL OPINION

I use this software for several years to make arrangements for string quartet of students (I am a teacher of violin) and I am fully satisfied.
this free software was designed by musicians, and it shows. Its use is very intuitive and even a novice will find it fairly quickly given a well-thought user interface and easy access menus.
I tried demo versions of paid software that proved true gasworks. Musescore is free, and its use seems much easier than a lot of professional software.

Pros:
- Ease of use
- Very complete
- Manual very clear line
- Visual scores after nice impression.
- Free

Cons:
- General Midi sounds a bit ugly
- Can not install VST (at least to my knowledge)
- Some bugs sometimes (but rare)

I recommend this program without hesitation for everyday use, provided you do not're an professional music too fussy. There are probably more efficient software out price, but for me, Musescore is exactly what I was looking for (! And more, totally free) complete without headaches
