I didn't have any problems, compatibility or otherwise while installing the URS S Series EQ and I had the plug-in up and running within a few minutes. URS makes it quite easy to buy and download from the website and I was able to have the plug-in working in Pro Tools in no time. Once I had the plug-in installed, it didn't take long for me to understand the interface of the software as it is put together well and is easy to follow. The EQ has four bands as well as both a high pass and low pass filter. The high and the low bands each have parameters for frequency and gain and the middle bands have the same as well as a parameter for Q (bandwidth). The plug-in also has knobs for input and output level. A manual isn't necessary to learn or install the plug-in, but I haven't seen it anyway so I can't say if it would be helpful.
Since installing the URS S Series EQ it has run smoothly and stably. I am currently running the plug-in in Pro Tools LE 7.4 that runs off of a Digi 002R audio interface and I run Pro Tools on a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM. The plug-in runs perfectly in this set up and I am able to run a lot of them at a time if I choose to...
All in all, the URS S Series EQ is a pretty awesome EQ plug-in. It not only is easy to use and has a great looking interface, but has a really clean sound quality and is great for a variety of applications. I love using this EQ for drums and guitars, but it will work great for any type of application. URS makes plug-ins that both sound great and don't cost too much, as is the case with this plug-in. If you are looking for a powerful EQ plug-in that won't cost a fortune, the URS S Series EQ is right up your alley.
