- From a CD.
- Between a footswitch for channel CONTRL.

The -:
- No Middle potentiomtre or contour in the equalization of the channel clean.
- No Middle potentiomtre in the legalization of the channel Overdrive.
- No effects loop.
- Footswitch sold separately.
UTILIZATION
It is easy to get a clean sound drinking (all mediums dpend dlivrs by the microphones of your guitar).
With the overdrive channel, you can get sounds from the overdrive crunch lasts potentiomtres with just the outline and gain. Then simply dose the bass and treble (Treble) according to the microphone used on the guitar.
Numriques effects are not bad but can not be otherwise than CONTRL intermdiaire two potentiomtres "Adjust Preset" to select one of 4 effects and "FX Level "To determine the volume of the chosen effect.
It is impossible to switch via a footswitch, which requires the user to interrupt his game to manually switch the effects.
Not very practical when you want to go directly to a clean sound with a lightweight chorus overdrive without a chorus, for example ...
Boost the FDD does not really add the heat lamps for an amp, but gives some Dcibel supplmentaires when playing low volume. Thus giving the illusion of playing on a bigger amp.
By ds against the volume to half Exceeds FDD seems to be inactive.
Otherwise the manual is clear and trs offers some examples of rglages even for beginners.
SOUNDS
To play the blues, pop, rock or even hard rock's nickel! was not worth his lights but the sound is dynamic. As I said above, one can easily switch between the crunch a little distortion in large part thanks to the contour. You should know that the more even when the knob down, become more mdiums Submitted. Default that could be corrected with a knob Middle, but lowering the treble and / or by adding bass, the sound becomes much less synthetic. A word ...
I happened to play Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and the Gary Moore without having to add peripherals (Whoever said What could not play Led Zeppelin with the MG30 should review the your guitar pickups). I play a lot of metal (Metallica, Opeth, Pantera ...) and I need for impractical against a distortion of pedals to make him spit sound really adapted.
To clean, the fact of not being able to change the medium can make the sound a bit flat. I noticed especially with passive pickups. By adding an equalizer and / or an external compressor in the input (I prfr in a loop effects, Manir not lose power from the canal when saturated j ' using my multi-effects ...) can give a little more life this channel.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this amp in 2003. It is therefore the Premire Marshall MG version.
He even when the potatoes for a 30W transistor! In the rglant correctly you will no problem repeating with a group and may be even in small concerts.
I had not tried other models before taking it because I thought it would be enough for beginners and it is clear that this amp is primarily intended for beginners. It is a bit limited for the metal (especially low volume) can be hand if we try to get one's a little runny Motrhead fawn ...
Even when we can jam on a few pieces of hard rock in the style of AC / DC, Iron Maiden or even, but for lovers of big sound, it will be difficult to draw something really pr cis and surly without pedals for distortion.
If I had the opportunity to try for a MG15DFX guitar lessons and frankly, I prfre 100 times the overdrive channel MG30DFX. Those who say that it spits a lot when pushing the gain simply trying to see an MG15 ... Mdr
In short, I think this amp is not bad for its sound quality, it s'avre most versatile and dynamic as some competitors from other brands but it is frankly sad to see an equalization (clean channel) consists of only two knobs (Bass and Treble) in addition to volume, while the overdrive channel compensates for the absence of a Middle potentiomtre a "Contour".
Moreover, I find that a loop does have effects far more useful than the four non-program effects pr footswitchable which are quickly forgotten APRS have acquired pedals or a multi-effects.
If you beginners and the effects as much as you intressent amplification, see amps such as Line 6 Spider, Roland Cube or Vox.
Sound level trs well they are doing, and have more numriques effects, which can be ordered at the foot this time.
It is clear that I would do not have that choice because as I said before, there is now much better on the market in the same price range. Especially over whether the use is limited play in his room or repeating.
