NEW $350.00 TO PLAY MY NEW FENDER AMERICAN SERIES STRAT THROUGH.

THE SOUND AND POWER. THE CLEAN CHANNEL WAS (I RETURNRD THIS UNIT) NICE WITH A CHORUS EFFECT AND/OR REVERB. IT WAS BETTER SOUNDING THAN ALL OF THE OTHER COMPARABLE UNITS IN THIS PRICE RANGE. IT ALSO SOUNDED BETTER THAN THE VALVESTATE COMBOS. BUT.... READ ON.........

NEEDS ANOTHER VOLUME CONTROL ON THE CLEAN CHANNEL AND THE COOLING FAN IS A PIECE OF SH!T.IT WAS MAKING DYING NOISES SOON AFTER I GOT IT HOME. ALSO, I NOTICED THAT THE OVERDRIVE CHANNEL WOULD PRODUCE A STATIC NOISE BEFORE EACH PICKED NOTE. THIS WAS NOT THE PICK HITTING THE STRINGS NOISE BUT SOME OTHER SLIGHT BUT VERY NOTCABLE AND ANNOYING NON-MUSICAL SOUND EFFECT WHICH MADE ME NOT LIKE TO USE THE OVERDRIVE CHANNEL.

IT IS SOLID.BUT THE HANDLE WILL VIBRATE A BIT WHEN CERTAIN NOTES ARE PLAYED.MADE OF PRESSED PARTICLE BOARD COVERED IN VINYL WITH CORNER PROTECTORS.IT LOOKED AND FELT VERY STURDY.BUT WHY DID THEY PUT SUCH A PIECE OF SH!T FAN IN THIS UNIT ?

BOTTOM LINE IS DON`T BUY IT. I RETURNED MINE.IF YOU DO WANT TO GET ONE OF THESE MGDFX`S THEN BUY EITHER THE MG30DFX OR THE MG100DFX BOTH WHICH I HAVE READ NOTHING BAD ABOUT. I HAVE READ OTHER REVIEWS ELSEWHERE CONCERNING THE MG50DFX AND THE COOLING FAN IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM WITH THESE AMPS. I AM NOW LOOKING FOR AN ALL TUBE COMBO WHICH I WILL THEN PAIR UP WITH A MULTI-EFFECTS PEDAL UNIT TO GIVE ME WHAT I WANT. THIS UNIT LET ME DOWN AND NOW I AM WEARY ABOUT OVERALL MARSHALL QUALITY AND WOULD HESITATE TO BUY ANOTHER. I PRESENTLY AM LOOKING AT OTHER BRANDS.
