    Good clean fun...no not really.

Fender FM 100 HeadPublished on 09/29/11 at 20:34

This amp by no means is meant for going outside of the house. You tuck this thing away and never let anyone hear it or see it. It is designed to be a practice amp, but the tone from it is really horrible. I am don't care to listen to it at all because the tone is just lousy. The clean of course sounds good. If Fender the kings of clean tone didn't make it sound good on the clean then thy would have a big problem.

    SOUNDS

Not a hard amp to get used to. It doesn't have that many control knobs to get in the way. The thing has two channels and in my opinion it should have some amp modeling or something else to go along with this thing. To me the clean are fantastic but the dirty channel is really thin brittle and everything a solid state amp sounds like. It has no character or soul in the tone and you ave to fight the thing to make a decent sound out of it.

Doesn't really matter what guitar you use with it because it is a big disappointment. For the cleans they accept a Fender Strat or Tele best. For the dirty channel any less than a humbucker style guitar will just sound like trash.

    OVERALL OPINION

Even though the price is very low the sound from this thing just doesn't make you want to play the guitar for hours. And that is the biggest factor in buying and amp....does it make you want to get better as a player....the answer for this amp is simply...no. I don't want to hear this thing and I don't want to look at it.

I do not recommend this amp to anyone. If you want something that sounds good good with the Peavey Viper or the Roland Cube. At new these units come in at around $240.

    Transistor amplifier 100 watts.
The head is mono, 2 channels, clean and saturated with option "+ saturation" and "mid contour"
A knob for the reverb too.

Nothing to say on this point, it was nickel.

    UTILIZATION

Trs simple configuration with a manual trsdtaill knobs for each.
one branch, we do a little and it gives qual dja not bad!

In addition, Fender used a system of storage for cables and footswitch quite handy: you have two tab at the bottom of the cache with the Fender logo, it takes, ca scratch, and it was a hollow compartment to store a max of brol (I bet there are some who wonder what these are still tabs: p). Congratulations on this one the Fender!

    SOUNDS

I bought this head after a resale of my Rocktron rack Gainiac 2 (see my review on the misadventures). It has a sound with a little grain and gnial + that makes all the magic for me: the switch "MID CONTOUR" which transforms the acid Fender distortion in its heavy but trs trs own!
We add to this a good compression and it is gone!
The clean channel is nice too, with a good delay / reverb can make facilmement acoustics.

I put 9 / 10 because the wind filled enough when you push the drive.

    OVERALL OPINION

I just aqurir the head, but it's been over a year I work with FM combos in my non-profit organization, so I knew what to expect.
I never t branch Fender because I found the distorted sounds too "acid" and harmful to the ears. Here was a new type of amp sound good with Fender typs but with the modern and more.
Before then I had a config gainiac velocity100 2 + which had cost just over 400. Here I am shooting with a 280 with the nickel for the music I make, and even the FM is much more versatile than the Rocktron to me.
I would do without this choice hsiter.

It is a 100 watt transistor.
There are two input and three outputs for which one footwish and 2 others to the effects loop.
There are two distortions and a mid contour.

    UTILIZATION

There is no real need of the manual is simple just plug in his guitar and that's it. It can also store the cables and footwish plus another pedal inside through the interface that can be removed.

    SOUNDS

I play in a black metal band with an Epiphone Flying-V and I made two Mxr DoubleShot with and I never rose above the knob 4. It has a very good clean but against the two male but not distos sorely lacking sustain.

I have this amp for almost a year and I are not going to complain he has a good record with the pedal. I think it's a very good value for money (€ 500 with the baffle fenderFm412sl) and I had the choice again I would.
