8-channel transistors Prampli:
- Output jack 6.3 mm simultanment sym. and D-sub (by standard Tascam and others)
- Optional: A / D converters into a OctaMic D (we lose the analog D-sub25)
- LED "clip" show (on request) overloading (overload) goes into flashing
- Output level -10 dB (HiFi), + 4dB (business) or high gain
- No compressors or limiters
- 10 dB minimum gain, no attnuateurs; by consquent limit level of 2 volts approx. which is at least sufficient to micro prof. utiliss proximity of noise sources levbr /> - 8-28 V DC power Tolra (eg 12 V while in a car); collection outdoor power included
- Rack - the "ears" can be removed to make a device "stand-alone"

UTILIZATION

Trs configuration transparent
Small limitation: settle a gain between 10 and 60 dB with a single potentiomtre remains difficult: an end rglage between 50 dB + 60 dB and is as difficult as a Mackie 1402, the last ten dB gain are very s delicate (all channels), because the potentiomtre no longer linear.
Once rglage fact, no problem.

SOUND QUALITY

I can confirm that the background noise is low trs (background report from the EIN of -129 dB).
The background noise is at least infrieur the background noise of the best professional microphones like Neumann TLM 103, Rode 930 or NT1A MTG (which n'tait not the case with tests that I had produced Presonus ).
Its neutral, no coloration.
The position of "high gain" is not a luxury but absolutely ncessaire: not just for cards RME also p. ex. when one branch of the OctaMic recorder TASCAM DA78: position "+4 dB" the OctaMic is overdriven by TASCAM, only in "high gain" it is possible to modulate the entries of symmtriques DA78 fully. Has probably also applies to other entries symmtriques professional.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought the OctaMic (with a Fireface 800) 3 months ago APRS a thorough evaluation and field trials with Presonus and Focusrite (see the opinion).
I'm quite happy with the OctaMic Despite the two limitations mentioned:
- Limit level of 2 volts (not enough for line signals prof.)
- Irrgularit gain between 50 and 60 dB
The fact that records and displays the overmodulation passes avoids constantly monitor the display.
