Fender introduces this year at NAMM a very innovative American Deluxe Strat Plus that can be easily customizable. Indeed, Fender did not use any soldering for the electronics, which will allow guitarists to easily change the circuits without having to send it to the workshop.
Plus, the real innovation is located on the back of the body, where you will be able to install an optional card that will reconfigure the electronics of the Strat Deluxe Plus. Fender will offer 10 cards to “re-wire” the instruments with pickup and circuit mods.
The Fender American Deluxe Strat Plus is available in two SSS or HSS pickup editions.
Both versions feature an alder body, a bolt-on (4 bolts with Micro-Tilt) maple neck with Modern C shape, maple or rosewood fingerboard with 9.5” – 14” compound radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and Dot inlays, Deluxe locking tuners and a 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles.
The SSS version includes three Noiseless N3 Single-Coil Strat pickups, a master volume, two tones and a 5-way pickup switch. This guitar is available in two Mystic 3-Tone Sunburst and Mystic Ice Blue finishes with maple fingerboard and 3-ply Mint Green pickguard.
You’ll find on the HSS Strat Plus a Twin Head bridge humbucker and two Noiseless N3 single coil Strat center and neck pickups, to be controlled via the master volume, two tones and a 5-way switch. You can choose between a Mystic Black and Mystic 3-Tone Sunburst finish with rosewood fingerboard and a 3-ply Mint Green pickguard.
MSRP for these two American Deluxe Strat Plus guitars is US $2099.99.
