Fender '62 Stratocaster Reissue
Published on 04/17/03 at 15:00The RRP is £570 but at a sale at Andertons in Guildford i got it for a steal price - £370. Dunno if i'd pay full whack for it, i mean yeah its quality but i might have just settled for a standard. still...if you see one going cheap, or if you just want THAT tone, this is the beast!
The tone is fantastic. you really get those screaming highs and the piano like projection of the low strings is gorgious. through my line 6 flextone II amp it's just a HUGE tone. great looks. great neck, great pickups, no shoddy parts anywhere! refreshing at this price. its an utterly brilliant package and it's the business. epiphone, ibanez...they cant rival this. great super 250's strings. oh yeah...free...…

LOL. nothing! this tone makes you realise just how crap everything else is! wicked bargin!
construction and quality is second to none. forget how standard strats feel, this is a different league. the neck is finished with a lovely shiny laquer to PERFECTION - i love that neck! the ping tuners are SOOO much better than the standards'. its solid, (mexican built, but hell they make the bodies up north anyhow) and its just really really cool to be honest! play one, compare it to the standard (take a moment to laugh) then go choose your colour! whites great with the rosewood fretboard btw!
honestly? this is the first guitar i have ever played that i like EVERYTHING about. you dont need to spend more money than this to get a top flight machine, seriously, this would do for pros. if you even think about getting a strat, this is THE ONE. (ps dont think 'vintage' means it cant do modern stuff. this nails the modern marshall vibe better than my mates ibanez. GO BUY THIS!

SONORITS
I am "Hendrixologue" for decades, and for several possd Strat's,
even the Hendrix tribute, vintage, modern etc ...
This offers "Hendrix sound" more convincing, for several reasons.
The microphones are smaller and therefore perfect traumatize with a fuzz face.
All mic positions are usable, the middle of which is less useful habit
becomes unavoidable see addicting ...
sounds everywhere, even in a toaster, j'vous can imagine in an amp death ...
NOTICE GLOBAL
I for 1 month, and this is THE Strat ultimate cherch I have all my life.
I just changed the factory with a capa "Red Dime" 1 mfd series for L. trip
Fortunately, all the Strat's not like vintage 62,
otherwise we would all sound of death ...

Best Start '?
Published on 06/22/14 at 07:21 (This content has been automatically translated from French)I dreamed of the Strat Rory Gallagher
so I offered this Fender American Vintage 62 made U.S. in 2012, 1700euros,
beautiful, with a beautiful 3 tone sunburst,
a nitrocellulose gloss hyper fine but fragile: it will soon resemble that of Rory
a beautiful rosewood fingerboard, with very well-established frets, the neck is a pleasure to contact
the mechanics are vintage, and stable when you do not use too much vibrato.
microphones 62 are super well defined and balanced, but moderately powerful
I replaced by Bare Knuckles Irish Tour, again to get closer to the sound of Rory; I put together the 62 Fender pickups in a Mexican Strat, and this Mexican became great.

microphones 62 are super well defined and balanced, but moderately powerful
I replaced by Bare Knuckles Irish Tour, again to get closer to the sound of Rory; I put together the 62 Fender pickups in a Mexican Strat, and this Mexican became great.
My 62 resonates loud and long, it feels good vibrating against itself
we feel that the woods are of high quality and very well assembled,
we want to play, even if it catches too easily POCS.
the 10-46 strings fit him very well,
of origin, it is well settled,
height adjustments strings are easy,
on the other hand for the curvature of the handle, you must remove the pick guard: but regardless, after 2 years has not changed.
It comes mounted with a 3-position selector, and I mounted the 5 positions delivered in hard case: I love the sounds of intermediaries;
hard case vintage style brown Tolex with storage compartment.
UTILIZATION
it is light enough to 4kg, comfortable, ergonomic,
the handle is a pleasure, rather thin, rounded edges and touch the ends of the frets well-established makes easy
it is perfectly balanced, both sitting and standing,
access to volume adjustment, tone is easy,
but the switch is so close to the strings that have can hang unintentionally.
potentiometers are effective to modulate its sound
SOUNDS
it sounds hard and long to empty, thanks to the quality of the wood and assembly;
62 microphones are very well defined and balanced though not very powerful: with a perfect '65 twin reverb and a good pedal TS9;
tone adjustment lacks a bit of linearity.
it is perfect for the modern blues, blues-rock and '60s rock,
we think Clapton course
Bare with microphones Kuckles Irish Tour, we think not only Rory Gallagher but also SRV, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Cray, Matt Schofield.
I love the intermediate positions
and intends to differences between the neck pickup and middle pickup for accompaniment,
and much more sharp pickup for solos.
Little head with VOX Night Train was the chest while hearing although the strings vibrate into overdrive; Head Ibanez TSA15 honors a little less, because much of its velvety
OVERALL OPINION
though a bit expensive, it is absolutely beautiful,
it is worth the price difference compared to a Deluxe American,
it really brings a Custom Shop:
I tried the Custom Shop Rory Gallagher, 2 times more expensive, just a little lighter, with Rory Relic finish, and with microphones even closer to Rory that Bare Knuckles: it also is great but the price! !
Changing pickups 62 is not necessary, they are very good; I did only to find the sound Rory.
I do not regret my purchase, and never resell;
I could also have considered a very good American Standard and much cheaper, but the feeling was not there.
It obviously has nothing to do with a Les Paul (and I also like the Les Paul!), And each time I replay, I find it great.
single detail to consider, the nitro-cellulose lacquer is very fragile,
but it does not bother me at all, look at those Rory or SRV or KWShepherd (only annoying if we had to sell it)
