I come back a year and a half later ... I always Classic'50 (ct is me, the small CHRI). Sparer impossible for me! I shut that off with a priori, had bought in 2005 without use it for a year ... Sounds really good especially in the clear with my Peavey VK 212 is truly sublime. After having long rflchi between U.S. and Mexico-war popular topic on the forums, I trust my ears and my hands and I am DCID a year ago for this Fender Stratocaster Classic Mexico 50. I do not pronounce on the quality of the instrument, the rest as a matter of taste and personal style each. I went on running and did the studio with this guitar and did nothing wrong.

The hardware will probably change after several years of playing rgulier, micro float a little but everything else is nickel. Besides, a little Vaseline in the threads of the block and block the microphone with a rubber tip made me forget everything.

UTILIZATION

The neck feels really nice, the frets are not too small nor too big. It's not a Vigier Excalibur neck but it's still very slim.
Its lightness is normal for a Strat. The guitar is comfortable to play sitting or standing. Access to the upper frets is ok, except with the higher, fatter strings.

SOUNDS

This guitar fits my music style perfectly. Red Hot Chili Peppers is not a problem, nor Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones or Shadows, this guitar was made to rock! Don't expect to get a real high-gain tone even if the results with distortion are good.
I play with a Vox AC 30 so I get excellent clean and crunch tones. I like all pickup combinations (neck for Red Hot Chili Peppers, bridge for Shadows and middle position for all other styles) but I find the middle pickup has not enough character. I will replace the pickups with Fender 57/62 to get a real early-Stratocaster sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been playing the Classic 50 for one year and I can't seem to get bored.
The value for money is good and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
