I got this guitar second hand off e-bay and paid £110.

This guitar is a really good Starter guitar it has a nice neck,i now have a EDR which i have paid £500 for an the neck aint that much better! The pickups are quite good to considering they are only standard. Nice shape nice action to.On the single coil it has a absolutly lovely clean sound GREAT for funk/jazz.

Well for starters when you get down to the lower frets eg 20/21 and you try and bend the notes the guitar just carnt take it but after all its only a starter guitar. It dont sound to bad on over drive but on clean the majority of bends dont sound nice(i have raised the action nothing works it is just the neck rises).

This is a tuff little guitar the amount of times i dropped it bangged it and it sounds the same and looks the same as when i bought it.

Great starter guitar! Especially for those up and coming shredders but for the more experienced players spend that little bit more.

I bought this guitar as my second electric, upgrading from a poor les paul copy. I payed £180 for it from nevada my local music shop.

I have to say i do really the thin necks as there easy for small hands to get around. Also it is very light making it easy to play. As a begginner this guitar is great and has a pretty good sound for the price. Stays in tune well and comes with humbuckers, which im a fan of. Also it has a very low action so the strings are nice and close to the fretboard.

I have a few problems with tone and volume controls. a few of them have came lose but easily fixed. also the input came lose and did not work for a while. but also easily fixed after tightening parts ins…

I have a few problems with tone and volume controls. a few of them have came lose but easily fixed. also the input came lose and did not work for a while. but also easily fixed after tightening parts inside. Another problem were the parts you put your strap on comign lose and falling out. I got this sorted out at my local store but it soon came lose again. I fixed this myself after by putting a wall plug into the hole then screwing the strap holders back in and have had no more trouble.

The quality of the woods and the neck/fretboard/headstock kinda things seem to be good quality. But the little thing like the tone and volume controls and the strap holder sna input are not good at all. but all is easily fixed. overall failry good quality

Good guitar for the price. A few faults but thats on my guitar. Dont let that put you off there easily fixed and then your left with a good guitar.

Try one out there definitly worth the money.

I gave it a 3 because there are much better guitars out there. but this is got to be one of the best in this price range.

I got this guitar for £140 reduced from £180. It felt nice to play in the shop and it looked great. This was my first guitar and since then i have brought 3 other guitars, but the ibanez is still the one i use most.

It sounds really heavy when i plug it into my roland cube 30 and crank up the gain.It has a nice thick tone.
The controls are simple to use and it looks the business

The only complaint i have is that i miss it when i have to go to school.

It can take one hell of a beating...i've had it for 2 years now and its as good as new. Its been dropped on several occasions and still doesnt have a scratch on it....

A great guitar for beginners as its so easy to pick up and play and it will last you for ages.

I bought this guitar from sound control in leeds for £180, i played on most of the ibanez's in the shop and when i played this i thought this is the one. I would choose this guitar over a fender anyday!

Stays in tune and handles low tunning like drop C. It feels nice on the neck allowing fast switching. It looks great sounds great!

    there is nothing

a good quality wood finish. very durrable

if your looking for a new or first guitar, i recommend this guitar.

i got this guitar in 1999 at daddys junky music and i love it. it is a pure shredder guitar and its action is not so bad. the sound i get from the 2 humbucker pickups and the single coil are great( for a jazzy kinda blues feel) all in all i love this guitar. it was my first so we all love our first axe. next in line is a epiphone les paul goth!

This guitar is my first guitar and I got it from Rimmers music , Blackburn.
The guitar cost somewhere in the region of £180 but I am not totally sure.
I got the guitar with a Marshall MG10 and in all fareness, this amp did not uncover the guitars true potential.Ihave now upgraded to a Carlsbro GLX50 and this partnership just ROCKS.

As I said , this is my first guitar, so when I got it I didn't really know the difference between any guitar so I didn't know what to expect.
I have now tried a couple of guitars in the same price range but none of them tonally are in the same league.

I went on the Ibanez website and the model featured on there actually has a whammy bar
wheras mine doesn't but I am not considerably worried about that but I can imagine some people may get frustrated at this.
Another thing is that the tone control keeps becoming loose then falling off, and this wouldn't really be appropriate mid gig when youre on your knees in pitch black lookin' for that lost tone pot!
I have had the guitar for a year now and just recentley I have noticed crackling when selecting a pickup.

Overall I think this guitar is made very well indeed , I am not sure of the timbers but the humbuckers can sound very sweet at times.

Overall this guitar is great value for money and is a great starters guitar but is certainly gig worthy and Ideal as a second guitar live so you could just let rip with a few slide licks!

I bought this guitar 2 1/2 years ago, and it was my first electric guitar. I spent about $275, which I think is a really good price for such equipment.

This guitar gives a really warm and deep clean sound especially when plugged-in to a Marshall amplifier. The combination seems to be perfect.
The fretboard gives you a comfortamble playing on chords and arpeggios and when you turn the distortion on it can produce very heavy sound.
A standard tremolo is also included and although it's not the perfect gear it can be very helpful for increasing the sustain on solos.

The bad things on it are: First of all this small buzz of the first double pick-up when you are on some effects(delays, flangers…

The bad things on it are: First of all this small buzz of the first double pick-up when you are on some effects(delays, flangers, fuzz), the absense of locks for the strings and the small sustain which sometimes is very annoying when I'm truing to play solos with lots of bending or tapping stuff.

It has the standard GRX Agathis body, 2 double and in the middle a single pick-up, 22 frets, a very solid tremolo bridge, but I would like it to be a little heavier.
I believe it fullfils the standards of a nice beginner model and has all the main features that Ibanez guitars have.
Sounds good on clean and distorted sounds, but you have to be careful with the volume when playing with the brisge pick-up beacuse of this annoying buzz!

I would recommend it to a beginner, and I believe it is a guitar that will last about 3-4 years. Reliable for bedroom or small audience gigs but I would try to avoid using it for a studio recording.

Believing that a guitarist improves through the years I feel that right now I need something better and I am ready to byu my first Fender American Strat.

Bought with Cash for €290 at Adlib Music in Carlow, Ireland.

Looks great, feels great, and sounds great too. Not too heavy, basically a good beginners guitar.

The tuning knobs and output nut could have improved my overall opinion, as they dont match the rest of the guitar's standards.

All pretty great except for the tuning knobs and output nut.
The tuning knobs sometimes lose traction and make it hard to fine tune.
The output nut comes loose every time I play it, and has done since I bought it.

Good guitar for beginners, but I wouldn't plan to keep it as my main guitar for anything long-term.

I paid about $150 USD for this guitar, used, at a local shop.

I'm pretty pleased with it. It's got a very nice tone overall. It's pretty light compared to most other guitars, but it can really scream.

The G string seems to have a tendency to get out of tune, and doesn't like getting back into it either, but that's not a large problem.

The 16th fret seems to be a dead spot on this guitar, which is rather unfortunate.

It was made pretty well, though I have had some trouble with the input nut coming loose.

A VERY good deal for the price I got it at. I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent guitar, but it would serve someone very well who is just starting.

I bought this guitar at the local music shop several months ago. I traded in a broken Ibanez EX-270 for it, so I paid only about $200, but the original price was a little less than $500. This is my second electric guitar, and as such, it's not bad.

Well, it's fairly playable. A bit smaller than most electric guitars, but that's a good thing - It has a long neck like any guitar and it's lighter on the shoulder.

It has five pickups and a five-way selector, which provide great tonal diversity for this guitar's price. Thankfully, it doesn't have a Floyd Rose bridge... Though I'm biased, as my previous guitar had a lousy one which made the guitar impossible to tune, let alone restring.

Like I said, it's FAIRLY playable, not VERY playable. Although this is the guitar I have made the most progress with as a beginning guitarist, having also played some Strats - even Squiers - I noticed they were much easier to play.

The lack of a Floyd Rose bridge is both good and bad. Good, because I hate Floyd Rose bridges... Bad, because I can't use a tremolo bar without detuning the strings in the process. Not that this guitar can stay in tune very long anyway...

Overall, it's ok... I think quite fondly of it since it is practically my first guitar as a "real" guitarist.

There used to be some serious fret buzz in the beginning, but that was more or less sorted out, except for the low-E string which still buzzes an awful lot.

Great as a first guitar (or second, for that matter). After that, I'd get either an Ibanez RG or a Strat.

    Model made in Indonesia
-22 Boxes, two microphones: two doubles and a simple, entry-level (probably Powersound)
    Vibrato-standard (fat 10)
5-position switch, two knobs (volume and tone)
Channel end and smooth, ideal for fast play.
very good value for money on this.

    UTILIZATION

-The neck is very thin, which is not surprising for an Ibanez, it can perform solos without tiring. I find it great!
-I play on a model but I'm left handed so I did to Hendrix with the guitar upside down and access to acute stroke is not very easy for me. Otherwise there is no doubt that they are relatively accessible thanks to the shape of the guitar.

Archie-Form is known today is nothing good dépaysans, it is not heavy (less than 4 pounds). It is not tiring but tends to stand to walk around a bit so it is light, it is necessary to keep it going to say!
-For its price, the sound is more than correct, oriented rock and metal, it is quite capable of doing in the finesse with a very simple micro appreciable rhythm and arpeggios. the bridge pickup to the point and grows well in the high double while the tone is more consistent, more bluesy.
for this price range nothing wrong, it's almost perfect.

    SOUNDS

    - I play a little bit of everything so no problem in terms of versatility, she lagement the case. It is true that my amp with a lot (H & K tube every 50 lamps) but even when I plugged into my old Harley and Jim on my little Zoom 606 the result is more than convincing. I play metal on the double bridge position. Otherwise I is most often called to the microphone for simple clean pieces. double handle the microphone I use when I try to do my blues man. the intermediate position easel / simple micro gives her a little slap in the Fender, terrible.
    very positive on this point.

    OVERALL OPINION

For over three years that I have, this is my first guitar and there is always that little thing that binds us. Its value for money is not to question. Obviously, if I had to make another choice, I would ask my mother to me rependre good model but left this time (it was a surprise gift for my 18 years).
    very good entry!

Very good guitar for a beginner, there is some way to reach to all styles, but it is clear that after 3 long years of good service and Loyau I'll move to the next category.
However, I'm half and attach a sentimental value (the last gift from my father who passed away, first with, etc ...) so I would keep it, no question sde get rid of it!

I play but really all I can say that the sound is to go every time.
The neck pickup gives a fat and is perfect for everything powerchrds riffs or chords, bridge pickup will be used for solos and lead parts, I finally found that the micro singlecoil the middle gives a perfect lens for its fairly arpeggios or a little blues solo.
I played several amps (mine already: 15w epiphone, marshall MG30DFX and Blackheart Little Giant 5w) and I can assure you that the sound is excellent.
I also played on a Vox AC30 50w lamps and a marshall JCM100 head and frankly the quality is more than adequate even on a tube amp.

    OVERALL OPINION

It's been 3 years that I have and if the choice had to be rebuilt it will be with joy, I have LOTS to this guitar which helped me to improve myself. I had a copy before Lespaul and the handle was too thick for my taste.
    The value price is right.
