The handle is a highway, very close, perfect for my small hands. The All Access handle allows access to acute without a hitch.

It is impossible not to get the right sound with this guitar. When I try in the store, I branch into all the amps proposs in the shop. Sounds about everything, regardless of the position of slecteur, regardless rglage volume. Test the neck pickup with volume 1/4 or 1/3; its secured blues.
Well, it's a JEM with EVO microphones, as saying it is primarily made for the style of its creator (Steve Vai for those who do not know).

    SONORITS

I currently use with AXIS Fx Ultra, but repeats studio, it's happened to me to plug in the first amp came without any effect. Never surprises.
I play in a cover band Pop / Rock, so I need versatility. You would not think the view, but the shovel goes everywhere.
Other non ngligeable Parameter: she never dsaccorde, even doing violence vibrato, which by the way, is a real velvet. I promne in tui, it increased from 10 in the car 30 in the studio without flinching. On stage, I know I can rely on it without getting planted by holding agreement con.

    NOTICE GLOBAL

I bought it in 2000. It has since t breakage and rpare (thank you to Perrin magician Toulon!). I currently have 3 other guitars including a JEM FP2. But it's always towards my BSB I come back, as we returned home. We've been together for 12 years and it still surprises me. When I resume after two weeks of infidelity I branch, I play a chord and I thought, oh yeah when same!
on the other hand, beware! It is not painted and its color is super fragile. Over time, the green eventually disappear, especially in the areas of friction. So it was that day in New Perrin for total restoration, but this time, it will be painted. Me too:-)
I'll post a picture when I would rcupre.
In short, I love this guitar is my favorite;-)

It is impossible not to get the right sound with this guitar. When I tried it in store, I plugged in all the amps available in the shop. Another significant parameter: it never goes out of tune, even doing violence vibrato, which incidentally, is a real velvet. I walk into the case, it goes from 10 ° in the car to 30 ° in the studio without flinching. On stage, I know I can count on it without getting a hold planted by agreement with the con.

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in 2000. She has since been broken and repaired (thank you to the wizard Perrin in Toulon!). I currently have three other guitars including a JEM FP2. But it's always to my BSB I come back, as we get home. We've been together for 12 years and it still amazes me. When I resume after two weeks of infidelity, I branch, I'm playing an agreement and I said to myself, ah yeah anyway!

I'll post a picture when I had recovered.
In short, I love this guitar is my favorite ;-)

    Awesome pickups in this

    Ibanez JEM7Published on 10/01/11 at 13:24
Steve Vai has always been fairly revolutionary when it came to designing guitars. This one has an almost industrial kind of feel to it, and it happens to have one of my favorite pickup combinations as well. The guitar features a basswood body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, unique screwhead inlays, a LoPro Edge tremolo, unique handle cutout, HSH configuration, one volume, one tone and a five way switch.

    UTILIZATION

The first thing you notice about this guitar is the finish. It has this rough, textured kind of finish that feels kinda bizarre. Most guitars have a perfectly smooth and flat finish, and this one kinda threw me off when I started playing it. …

    UTILIZATION

The first thing you notice about this guitar is the finish. It has this rough, textured kind of finish that feels kinda bizarre. Most guitars have a perfectly smooth and flat finish, and this one kinda threw me off when I started playing it. The guitar had some good quality Ibanez fretwork. The frets were nice and level, and the ends were rounded off a bit so they didn't gouge your hands every time you moved up and down the neck. The neck on this is very flat and thin, so if you're not used to that, you might want to look elsewhere. I also thought the screwhead inlay kinda things were really cool. The LoPro Edge on this is probably the best floyd in the world, so no issues there.

    SOUNDS

The guitar has Breeds in it, along with a custom single coil pickup. The Breeds are some of the best pickups ever made, in my opinion. The Breed Bridge is like an overdriven, thick PAF Pro. It has these strong mids and really thickens up a basswood bodied guitar. You can play anything from blues to death metal with these things, I'm not kidding. They're really that versatile. The middle custom single coil pickup worked great for those funky and clean lines. I loved the in between positions as I could get this great, spanky clean tone going on. The Breed Neck was total tone heaven. It was like the perfect combination between an Air Norton and a PAF Pro. You had the thickness of the AIr Norton, but you also had the dynamics and clarity of the PAF Pro. It's definitely one crazy pickup.

    OVERALL OPINION

The main reason to get this guitar is the Breed pickups. They're some of the best pickups out there, I think. They definitely stand out above the rest when compared to some of DiMarzio's other pickups. The guitar is built solid, it was resonant, had some good fretwork and was an overall pleasure to play. Be careful if you buy on ebay, however, as they have lots of fakes out there.

A dream! Type JEM NECK 24 cases, however, it is much, much thinner than usual JEM models. Beware, it may not please everyone. Personally, I love!

    UTILIZATION

Quote: - The handle is it fun? As mentioned just above, it is quite specific and can not please everyone, Night with the guitarist's hands or lumberjacks with large hands. Personally, I am more or less average, and I confess that I particularly like. I also use a Petrucci JPM100 B & W and a RG1520 Prestige in a very regular, but my JEM is my favorite mostly because of this heat (and sound, but would stay again below).
Quote: - Access to acute (recent freight) is it easy? Basically, it's an RG, so, yes, no problem for access to acute, especially as the heel junction body / neck is profiled.
Quote: - Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)? The shape is perfect, but more importantly, it is light! And that made a difference with other sécrée guitar. Its weight is the reason very pleasantly. I think the choice of wood (basswood) is not the only parameter with respect to its weight. The finish also plays a little special to me because it is quite fine except for the paint blisters volunteers.
Quote: - Gets it easy to sound good? ... Oh yes! Quite simply, with all my guitars, is that my most enjoyable from this point of view. It is versatile as desired while showing a character all its own. I have with it a range of sounds at your fingertips. Strato bluesy sounds to perfection in sound creamier so enjoyable to play shred and metal, to the slamming funk if conottés! This guitar is just great on this!

    SOUNDS

Quote: - they are suitable to your style of music? TO MY kind of music do I have to say. Yes. As explained above, it is simply perfect in every style that I approach.
Quote: - With what (s) amplifier (s) or effect (s) do you play? Uh ... Here, I would have a whole section to talk about ... I'm the type of eating disorder stuff. I use a rack system with preamp tube, fittings of all kinds, MIDI and Nord Modular converter as a generator synth sounds and multi-fx. So not easy being Conscious of this issue ...
Quote: - What kind of sound you get and with what settings ("crystalline", "bold ",....)? Ben, I have already spoken. According to the micro chosen, it will slam of pure funk to the big trend graouh ... Difficult to say more as this guitar is versatile. The pickups are obviously not there for nothing. A tip for those who pass through here thinking that a good mic for metal and a powerful micro: You plant guys ;)... A moderately powerful micro saturates less, certainly, but it can work the sound of your distortion so much more efficient and can qualify your game much more responsive. If you really want the big distortion is on the side of the amp to look, not on the side of the microphones. ;)
Quote: - What are the sounds you prefer, you hate? Ben, I love them all! After 6 or 7 years of practice of this guitar, I continue to discover sounds that I like. I arrive just not make them sound like a dung. It may seem rather subjective, but I swear none of my other guitars is his level.

    OVERALL OPINION

Quote: - How long have you use it? Since 2000 I think.
Quote: - What is so special that you like most and least? Goodies: The Low Pro Edge tremolo is simply the best floyd market (Ibanez made a nice bullshit stopping its production for the benefit of new models styles Edge Pro II and others that are not as good). The neck is absolutely perfect for little hands and followers of the game fast, but not only. Microphones. The look.
The least: I do not see one, it is the relative fragility of the finish is very thin. The painting was indeed an unfortunate tendency to wear out too quickly at the edges notte body which are quite prominent. Well, me, it bothers me too because I like my guitars to have signs of life. But at worst, to finish like Normandy beaches following the Erika accident, you can easily repair itself m ^ m using ... a simple nail polish black. Indeed, the aspect of "loose paint" or dripping has the advantage that small alterations in nail polish can not be seen simply not. Notice to users who want to buy this guitar on occasion ...
Quote: - Have you tried many other models before buying it? Ben ... It is not that .. Pfiou! 18 years that I practice the guitar ... So .. In addition, I was a guitar dealer stores for several years, Night of Pigalle, then, the guitars, I've tried a bunch, yes .. ;)...

Quote: - How would you rate the quality / price? Quality of finish aside as mentioned above, I must admit that one of the cheapest in the JEM catalog. The finish is obviously cheap voluntarily for many in the room rate, but it's really a great guitar.

Quote: - With experience, you do again this choice? ... Bluntly, yes ... Although in my purchase, the 90th anniversary model that interested me. But this model was no longer in the catalog, and as I bought this guitar through a combination of circumstances that made me this guitar I have little new for half the price, I took advantage of .

9 only because of the fragility of the finish that may not please everyone.
