UTILIZATION

I bought this guitar after having dreamed for years and after a long run, very long ... The model FP2 Floral me doing crack.
The handle is great for those familiar with the brand, fast, easy, perfectly tuned.
However after some time of use I find it much worse than my Jackson Soloist same range: I'm used to the neck-through, the gene set neck access key despite acute scalloped end of the round.
This is very personal, therefore subjective.
Ergonomics is otherwise perfect, rather light this guitar is not exhausting!

SOUNDS

Micro side nothing to say!
Do not think that this guitar is reserved for schreders!
We find very easily what its soft and rich in harmonics of the great Steve.
But it can give much more attack and even excellent crunch.
Clear his side a surprise: perfect for a well balanced and pure, but with some adjustments, it can generate sounds crystal clear ideal for funk and even a certain dullness sound of jazz.
One note: even with a fat sound of this guitar is breathtaking sonic accuracy!
A set of micro astounding versatility.
I use it for me with a Line 6 Flextone III and a single Vox wah.

OVERALL OPINION

Use for approximately 3 months.
Only the handle (and I say: only access to acute!) Puzzles me.
In value, this does not seem exaggerated, at a good bargain it remains in the same price range as its competitors, and do not forget the look "Signature Model Limited".
At the risk of surprising you, no I do again this choice!
A Jackson Soloist with premium Seymour Duncan pickups and neck-through remains the best choice for me (I own one).
On the other hand side look, what a slap, the pattern is sublime, the impeccable finishing ...
Favorite? No doubt! I love it ... but ...

I think it is a fabrication Japonnaise with a Floyd Rose and blocker strings.
Evolution PAF PRO pickups if I do not talk nonsense settled by a 5 position selector, 1 tone and volume.

UTILIZATION

The handle is ulta-fast and handy, it's incredible.
It's hard to beat.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this guitar when I was a teenager, that is to say approximately 20 years ago.
Mine is from 1990 ...
She remained long in his flycase but I realize how lucky I have it.
The new version of the PS 2 still costs at Thomann E 3300 and for me it is not worth the former because the finish of the FP is a varnished fabrics (the fabric of the couch with Steve Vai), therefore all models are unique.

I have a friend who has one and the reasons are not the same places.

For value, I think when you put the price we are rarely disappointed.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a real Velvet, softness inexpressible. For cons, the only flaw of this guitar, why did you choose a traditional round screw while most of JEM have a handle "All Access"? Too bad, really. The descent to the treble is like all the guitars like Strato, with the hand that ends up banging against the heel. While in All Access, you go down on the box in the 24th meeting resistance. Odd choice. A priori, to meet the specifications of the first FP.

This guitar can be a bit of a pain to get ahold of as they weren't made for a very long time. They're also hard to find in good condition considering the top itself is a cloth. The guitar has a basswood body with a maple neck, rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, special vine inlay, unique handle carved out in it, an Ibanez Lo Pro Edge tremolo, last few frets scalloped, HSH configuration, all access neck joint, one volume, one tone and a five way switch.

UTILIZATION

This guitar had some wear going on, but considering its age, it's hard to take off points for that. There was some tarnishing on the hardware, and you could see some fretwear. Someone obviously played this guitar, but that's more proof that this was a very good and resonant guitar. The frets still felt nice, and I was able to achieve low action without much of an issue. The inlay work was nice, and the top was awesome on this. This is easily one of my favorite looking JEMs out there. I never really understood the whole handle business, but I guess it works.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds pretty awesome. This one actually had some different pickups installed in it. It had a PAF Pro in the neck and bridge with an FS1 in the middle. The PAF Pro in the bridge is like a hotter, cleaner PAF. It works great, especially if you're running into a bunch of effects. One thing is that it tends to stay open sounding, and that can be good or bad depending on what you're going for. The PAF Pro in the neck sounded great, and it delivered high quality lead tones. The FS1 split nicely with them to deliver some really cool strat tones, and it was powerful enough to stand out on its own.

OVERALL OPINION

These can be a bit hard to find considering how rare they are. That said, they're worth the coin if you enjoy the top. They play great, sound great and work awesome for shred music. Honestly, these could really do just about any genre you can think of, but I find they work best for those who are shredders. Either way, good luck finding one at a decent price as most like to hang onto these.
