UTILIZATION

For my part I bought this guitar is undisputed fan of Satch,
I went to Paris, only owner of this guitar, I arrived in the store, I saw the beautiful guitar of my dreams hanging on a stand, his sparkling red so convinced that this was THE guitar that would change my life I asked to try and .. Total Disappointment ... No sensations "exceptional", the impression of a good scratch but no more! By simple reflex I thought first that it was not the guitar! After all, each model is "unique"! So I went back in other stores looking for good JS LA but nothing has .. Though I tried JS1200 or the JS24p always the same opinion was "uh .. I do not know there .. "nothing special ..
Unfortunately, given this incredible disappointment I tried more than 20 guitar just after but I was so attached to the JS I finally bought the blindness as a child wanting the same costume superheroes are preferred even if it does not suit her (funny good example but that was it!)
I thought it would be a matter of time, he had to play to get used to and feel the quality, but as time passed and it confirmed my first impression, even worse ..

SOUNDS

I play mainly Satriani, now a little over Guthrie Govan (if you do not know I strongly suggest you go listen to this killer ..)

I played with a Fender tweed, another fender super 60 combo amp Koch (no Boch) Combo Marshall JCM900 and PODxt directly on the PA

At first I loved the sound of DiMarzio PAF joe quite warm and round like for Fred but gradually as time is not satisfied with this guitar, the sound became more and more hateful to me too ... "compressed"
As owner of the Satchurator .. It was worse! Satchurator gives the sound too loud, too sharp even with other guitars but then this one .. I do not understand whatever settings nothing would!

If you're used to playing on 10-46 I do not advise you at the base it was mounted 9-42 (Satriani plays on spaghetti unfortunately .. But he knows how to make it sound!) I am spent on the 10-46 cata ... Hello! the handle has taken a hit, too .. floyd result: Setting has to draw the objectives and floyd: @ I had to add springs!
Finally, the draft was too high for this guitar so I went on the 9-46 which was limited but nicer still

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it in December 2013 to € 1800 and is foutage of mouth, she did not really true at all.

I bought this guitar "blindness" but the basis for sound Satch,
If you wanted the same look no further ... it's all in the fingers.
I should think and realize that before buying this guitar.

I am now more confident with my fingers rather than my naive kid, a good life lesson that cost me 1,800 balls.

I went there a few days on a guitar, it makes costs more but it was worth it: a Charvel San Dimas made in JAPAN.
There I really found my bearings there and I'm sorry to tell you but for € 5,300 occas' with Seymour Duncan I find more sound Satch with the JS DiMarzio 1800 € .. C is it just suits me better (wider handle, lightweight scallopage from the 12 fret, original floyd ...) we feel here the real work of a luthier quality.

I would do anything in this unnecessary purchase that cost me an arm and a challenge ..

Conclusion: It's all in the fingers, the guitarist who gives the sound the guitar and not the reverse does not try to reproduce the exact sound of the album JOE, focus on your own sound, your own emotions, music is a matter of sincerity nothing else!

UTILIZATION

This is the most enjoyable race in which I played.
The guitar is an incredible lightness and unique ergonomics.
Access to the latest cases is facilitated by cutting the body, it's great.

UTILIZATION

Right off the bat, this guitar is a dream to play. The action is low low LOW, and the neck has a nice carve to it. It's a bit thicker than the other Ibanez guitars, like RG with the Wizard neck, but it feels incredible. Also, the tremolo system on this is unmatched - the Edge from Ibanez is my favorite double-locking tremolo on this planet, and it always comes back to tune even after the most serious whammy abuse. The build quality is top notch as well.

SOUNDS

This guitar smokes! It is quite a versatile beast, but it was meant for shred. These Dimarzio pickups can sear and soar with the best out there - they have a vintage Gibson quality, but with a bit more output. The only think soundwise this guitar seems to be lacking is a push-pull tone pot. I'm not saying that all guitars should have one, but in this case, with the shred neck and Edge system, it would seem appropriate.

OVERALL OPINION

This is a great axe for anyone wanting to get their shred demons out. The guitar just begs to be played fast, but with soulful bends everywhere. It is a lead guitarist's dream guitar, and it does the job nicely.

ergonomics on this guitar is thought the guitar body is rather thin and rounded, and it remains on the thigh when playing seated.
access to acute is very good, we walk easily on the handle which calls for a particular game, pirouettes and blues techniques and is very comfortable, regardless of whether one is in the treble or bass.
for sound, sounds that are obtained are those that can be heard at joe at the moment, tear that sounds saturated and clean sounds accurate enough and slamming.

Apart from the sounds clear and still, I did not find the sounds that make me want to stay here to play again and again ...

Regarding the characteristics of this beast running nothing wrong again.
Except that both volume and tone knobs are push-pull.
In terms of tone, it allows to split the humbuckers and the single went.

OVERALL OPINION

I own it for 3 months and I really have no complaints.
It is perfect for all levels, sound, use, comfort and aesthetics (it would be perfect in hard chrome, but not distributed in France !!!!!! why ?????)

I will go directly to the type of handle: it is a ibanez neck type that is rather flat But know wanted to run a vintage feel that is it is not as flat as a RG, the is not a pancake where grip is often easier (the thumb has more grip ...), a more natural feeling but I will return later. Ibanez then typed a handle but not too, with a radius which evolved into the microphones: a more ergonomic handle is raproche when the body of the grate. The handle, therefore: Sach is a jusqueboutiste. He managed to think of a nice round (not a pancake ...) ultra ergonomic (radius evolutionary) and extremely fast: the handle is a six-lane highway! I had some big guitars with a musicman EVH signature model, much more expensive, built for another as the handle, another speed of the grate, but I much prefer the JS. Cheaper, it remains a guitar "high end" accessible and very well thought out.

SOUNDS

In terms of sound, the possibilities are enormous. This may be an advantage as a disadvantage (never satisfied, you can always have another ...). the sound also depends very much on the material behind it: the possible effects and amp. Sach likes it without playing with three and ten digitech rack effects. In fact a good all-tube amplifier will provide big sound in its almost jazzy. clean sounds are huge! I use it for a few days but I had tried several times already ... I must say that being a fan of Sach, I'm not necessarily too neutral, but hey, it gets worse as zicos.

my guitar before an Ibanez S470 silent, and I must say that for 600 is a super scratch when we start a little fan of the solo as Satriani. but after 2-3 years, I seem to have walk around, and the sound was beginning to make a noise like tinsel gimbarde old ... I had better scratch. and then with a friend, I tried the JS1000, and I must admit that comparing with the minne, j'tait sidr of the difference between the two imprssionnante MODELS. So 6 months of APRS connomies (and yes it is not given all of the same!), I order at my local supplier.

a guitar is incredible finesse, compared to a mid-range guitar as my Ancinnes S470.
you feel immediately at ease on it, not like a les paul not trs fine example.
the finish is not perfect copy whatever is between the Jack, this candy red paint is super nice and flashy, you will not inaperu scratches with this!
handle multi-radius, provided with fairly thin frets, is sliding fast and trs trs well.
thanks to an inclined derrire the handle, the ACCS is most acute in the ISSA.
the ergonnomie is incredible, the body is thin and super enjoyable, the weight is low for a relativment guitar solid basswood.
get the faster is simple because there is no 36 setting, but if you dig ... it's harder.

SOUNDS

This guitar is one of the most versatile. I play hard-rock, rock, metal, blues and Satriani recess. there is no problem, but affordable styles are on this machine.
I play on a Line6 spider75 III that reproduces the sounds of various amps and effects diversses, then I must say that it gnial! ago Satriani sounds even pre-program in this amp and it trs ressamblant! but now the amp is limited, I would have a real tube amp, but we are never happy with what we have!
clean sounds are brilliant trs has a Manir Ibanez Sabre, but hot all the same. the palette of sounds is really the standard we have a lovely instrument of incredible finesse.
its notes are saturated hyper prcises fuses and harmonics! the sound is powerful thanks to DiMarzio. it has the big war machine!
vibrato is ecxellent though a bit hard to beginners compared to that of my ex-S470 that had nothing to do, but you get used to rev faster, the tuning is however quite difficult when you have never had a floyd guitar.
all sounds are enjoyable, there's little splitter humbuckers into simple thanks to the push-pull knob Tone you lose power, but we gain in clarity strat style.
comes from the little extra push pull volume that the operating, keeps a good acute low volume as it is fitted High-Pass Filter.

has now three months I have and I would say I'm not prs to go around. I really like the look of this guitar really looks like a jewel, it was fear of predre on hand to beginners because it is so beautiful!
I really love the style "Statrianesque" of the skyscraper. if cpomparait with cars is really a Ferrari, plus it's red!
I have not tried other models because it is the one I wanted!
the report is qualitprix trs good, although I got it for 1530 and has increased in recent times was 1800, but in relation to performance is a ecxellent.
It's a guitar with more characters that plairat RTISS, I even have a friend who swears by the Start and it really does bleuff this guitar.

The Ibanez JS1200 is an updated version of the guitar that Joe Satriani designed for Ibanez all those years ago. Joe's always been more of a vintage guy and his guitar is an excellent blend of the typical Ibanez superstrat and some more classic Strat type guitars that Joe played back in the day. It features a basswood body, rosewood fretboard with 22 6105 frets (taller and narrower in design) the recently added for 2010 Edge Tremolo (replacing the old Edge Pro bridge used for many years prior. It also has DiMarzio signature Satriani pickups - a PAF Joe in the neck position and a FRED in the bridge position. They're made in Japan at the Ibanez factory there.

UTILIZATION

The JS1200 is definitely an ergonomic and streamlined instrument for my tastes. Though it's not quite as thin or fast as a typical RG, it eschews that extra bit of speed for a more comfortable vintage spec'd feel that I personally love. I had an original Ibanez Radius that was quite similar in feel to the JS1200 - nice comfortable medium sized neck and a body that sits very well both sitting and standing. It's a good medium weight that is easy to play for extended periods too. The upper fret access isn't as good as an RG or a JEM but it's fairly good - kind of like an old Strat.

Getting a good sound out of this guitar is pretty easy. Joe tends to like more of a vintage voiced tone than typically is found in Ibanez guitars, so this is a treat for players like me who prefer an old school tone. There is also a high pass filter to create a different set of tones as well... very cool.

SOUNDS

I've tried this guitar through a multitude of amplifiers and have concluded that at its core it sounds like a typical Ibanez RG guitar, but with thicker lows, a more prominent midrange and less spiky highs. The clean tones are excellent for blues or jazz type settings, and with the high pass filter engaged it gets into kind of a Strat territory which is pretty cool. The drive tones are exactly what you'd expect from a Satch guitar - very open and refined but with enough output to work with higher gain modern rigs of today. It's a perfect compromise between the vintage Fenders and the more modern superstrats. Rhythms are fat and chunky, with excellent articulation and clarity on the low strings. The lead tones have great sustain and richness on both pickups, excellent for legato or alternate picked passages.

OVERALL OPINION

All in all I think the Ibanez JS1200 is a really cool and unique take on the typical Ibanez superstrat. It's a bit expensive at $1,800 new but they can be had for a reasonable price on the used market. It's well crafted and sounds great for hard rock styles, plus the feel is enough of a departure that fans of a more vintage feeling guitar will dig it.

This is really the exact same model as the Prestige JS1000s out there. The biggest difference is that the neck pickup has been replaced with the PAF Joe instead of the normal PAF Pro. The guitar has a basswood body with a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with dot inlays, an Edge bridge, two DiMarzio humbuckers, one volume, one tone and a three way toggle switch.

UTILIZATION

The guitar has awesome build quality. The frets ends are nicely beveled so they won't cut your hands while moving up and down the neck. The frets themselves are perfectly crowned and allow you to get some low action without any issues. The bridge on this was actually replaced later on around 2010. These guitars used to come with an Edge Pro bridge, but they now have the (superior) Edge tremolo. If you're looking to buy one, I recommend getting it with the Edge bridge as they feel better to me. They have a spongier feel that allows you to flutter better. You can also use the intonation too with these.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds great. While it's not the best guitar out there for high gain death metal rhythm tones, it does lead tones fantastically. The DiMarzio FRED sounds great in the bridge for lead lines; harmonics jump out like crazy and it has some real cool overtones going on. The PAF Joe in the neck has more of that classic "vowely" kind of tone going on for it. It sounds better than the PAF Pro to me because of this. It just seems to have a bit more character than the normal PAF Pro. Clean tones are especially awesome once you enable the coil split on the tone control.

OVERALL OPINION

Aside from the color and the PAF Joe in the neck, this is pretty much the same as the JS1000 out there. If you're a fan of the candy apple red color, I say go for it. Otherwise, you can get the same guitar out there if you just buy a used JS1000. If you do decide to buy this, try to buy a newer one as it'll have the Edge tremolo instead of the Edge Pro.
