UTILIZATION

The handle is very enjoyable may not be very useful for beginners guitar really well but a bit fragile but so good.
each access to treble is very easy.
it is quite heavy but it is enjoyable I find. Finally, it remains correct any of the same.

SOUNDS

It is versatile enough I think of hard rock and heavy metal in the blue with no problem.

The handle, I would say it is perfect.
Access to treble is very good, but for example if I try to put the index on the box 20 and the little finger on right now is 22 harder ...
I find it light enough, it can be held in one hand by the handle without any problems.

SOUNDS

It suits me perfectly, rather I play metal and heavy rock, industrial.
I play a Peavey Rage 158 Transtube and that makes it less there. I can not really enjoy the sound ...

The pickups lack of punch frankly, but I still notice the difference with my Powersound Cort X-2.

But I imagine a good amp, and with better pickups (EMG may or DiMarzio), and there it is likely to be great!

I think with the best microphones mounted in note 9 to perhaps pasmoins anyway.

So yeah sustain is not great, but it's a floyd so I expected ...
For that, it would be better to take an AX or SZ (through-string).

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using ... uh ... in two days it'll be one month ....

What I like most ... its look and probably sound when the equipment around will be better (I have an amp rotten, I'm going to change that may invest in a Hughes and Kettner Matrix or a small all-tube combo).
I tried a number of other guitars before: Cort X-2, Storm Stratocaster Rougeou way we see the wood through, SG Storm zero shit, Epiphone G-400 (super, really), Ibanez S470, Ibanez S470 Ergodyne (with EMG pickups Ibanez by which I was not impressed at all), a JM Forest, a Jim Harley, an LP Storm.

In the lot that I liked are the S and G-400. The G-400 is half the price, but Floyd does not (it is a SG, so naturally ...) and has a very good sustain. As against the finishes are so good.

Handle great, on my old (peavey exp ~ € 200) is quickly avé sore thumb while the hand on the slide alone.

The neck is an Ibanez, trs end, and I think it's perfect.
Access to acute is relatively easy.
I'm a fan of the shape of S SERIES, so it suits me quite, and I find it quite Legris, 5 hours of repeated 'standing going well ^ ^ trs.
Many people are not convinced by the pink floyd, personally, the Zero Resistance Ibanez is much simpler than other rgler.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months, I really love her look, I flash it, a little aggressive, without being too either (it is far from a BC rich ^ ^) I love the sound it has (even more since the rest of the stuff below). So I started on a yamaha pacified 112 (no comment ...), there is no comparison I had had enough of this guitar before switching, I tried many MODELS, not a little (I did not jou just 3 minutes from scratch and then chose). I tried a lot of Ibanez: S470 (quite similar to me), RG321 (too simple fixed bridge and above), IC400 (I love the shape, but too many people take it just because Daron (of DICO) the same, and I wanted no one thinks of me lol, also the bridge is fixed, and it is a bit heavy), etc.. A gibson SG (sound perfect, but I found the handle too pais, and the bridge was too high and gnait me to play).
I tried the S520EX because I find her look trs catchy, and it was love at first sight, the report qualitprix trs is good given the quality of the guitar and the ZR tremolo.

The S-520 Ibanez EX BBK that I have made was taken in Japan.
It has a Wizard II neck very fast with 22 frets and markers wave-shaped pearl on the rosewood fingerboard, body, thin and light specific to the series Sabre Mahogany which is a good sustain, the combination of pickups IBZ V1 & V2 with a 5 way switch controlled by a volume & one tone and finally finishing BBK (Biker's black) and a very beautiful fittings in a "gun barrel".
Vibrato is an Edge (lo-pro edge) Licensed Floyd Rose nut with a block-chords.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a real treat to smooth and speed to modern techniques (tapping, demanchées, slides, etc ...) while remaining comfortable in the hand. To my taste, the best round I played on all makes and models combined.
The cutaway and the neck joint / body facilitate maximum access to the latest boxes and generally play the guitar so thin, so light is pure pleasure.
Microphones V1 & V2 (found on the RG 550 20th Anniversary ressiue) Humbuckers are very good (according to my dealer, they will builds summers in collaboration with Seymour Duncan). No background noise even at high volume, timbre strong medium and good general definition of sound, warm & mellow on the neck pickup, powerful lens on the bridge pickup. Note the 5 way switch (for 3 against IBZ Infinity pickups) that expanded the sonic palette with intermediate positions in the manner of a Start '.

SOUNDS

I chose this model after having played for 40 minutes in the store on a Combo H & K has a lamp and I deeply enjoyed relative to Jackson & ESP tested just before.
The sound distortion (Marshall Guv'nor or Zoom Extreme Distortion) is very accurate, making it a good guitar for metal.
I play a Selmer amp reverb 60W 2-channel I dope with a Zoom G2, a Crybaby Wha and from time to time one or Guv'nor Ibanez CM5 Classic Metal.
I set my things strictly and I change the grain according to the time from the guitar itself (volume / tone / selector) which allows me to cover a wide spectrum of sound.
Definitely love the V2 of this with the Ibanez distortion and although the V1 drooling slightly on this type of effect, it remains clean and powerful at a time.

I bought this guitar three months ago and I can not let go! lol
I had really fallen in love with this beautiful 520 S EX finish with this very special and more, the price is reasonable for an instrument of this quality.

This guitar was manufactured in Japan t and t are also inspected. I bought this guitar for the 2007 t, and I really do not t's: just LGREMENT dconcert the draft of the bridge pickup.
There is nothing wrong and will never be on the Ibanez S SERIES: lightweight but strong body, comfortable, with a sound that rsons nanmoins.

S520ex I love this for its looks, its construction as mentioned above. The colors are simple and pretty (except red).
I used to be a SERIES of Ibanez RG, heavier but excellent, I also test an old Jackson, really more metal type, but in the end that had the look. My guitar was a Samick Premire SG, low-end ... of all, the S keeps my preferences.

Ibanez has been known for some of the greatest overdrive pedals in music history. They've built the Ibanez tube screamer and have probably been the most successful distortion overdrive pedal that is ever been manufactured. Ibanez seeks out to build an manufacture good quality sounding and very inexpensive instruments. Their guitars is no exception. You can get some of their much more prestigious guitars from their prestige line all way down to some of the most basic beginner guitars available.

So you have a vast array of different guitars for different folks different price ranges and definitely different build qualities. This guitar is a good guitar for someone he's learning the learning how to play the guitar and need something that will be very versatile but also be extremely comfortable to play. One of the great features that Ibanez has is there comfortable next and just overall feel and balance to the guitar. They're pretty inexpensive if what you get I think there is a lot more to be said than just the good price.

SOUNDS

This guitar sounds phenomenal and a hiking amplifier setting. When you put this in front of say a Mesa boogie, or a Marshall, or a Bogner amplifier you can get some great singing lead and rhythm tones. What I really like about Ibanez guitars is a neck is so comfortable especially when you're playing lead lines and soloing. It has a very percussive and direct focus tone that lends itself to many metal players and hard rock players. These guitars have been used by many shredding guitar players because of the comfortability in the east to glide up and down the fretboard.

Another great feature and the sound of this guitar is that the humbucker pick ups. They're pretty cheap pick ups but overall they sound pretty decent in this guitar. Again this is not a high end boutique guitar and Ibanez does make those type of guitars for certain people's budgets. But this is going to be a guitar that's good to sound good and get you what you need for a very inexpensive price but with a great quality of sound.

OVERALL OPINION


You can find these guitar for right around $250 which is a great price for this. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone he's wanting to learn how to play the guitar or who just wants to step up to a shredder type guitar. It's a comfortable neck and a comfortable balance overall. The guitar has a decent balance and wait to it and the neck in my opinion is the selling point of these guitars. They're very comfortable and very nice and smooth on the backside which makes it easy to play. Anyone he wants to get into a good feeling guitar that needs something that will be ready for heart rock and metal and this is your guitar.

Another excellent point about this guitar is the neck. Very comfortable to play, fluid, very fast. However, wide enough for those who do not.

SOUNDS

I use the guitar with either a fender frontman for me either with a big Marshall I borrow. I also have several effects including distortion OS-2 that I use with the frontman.
Note that I'm not very "sharpened" in sound.
The sounds are very good with distortion. For metal it's perfect for rock that sounds very good, etc..
The big problem is that clean, there is more than treble! No slamming of everything from serious dansl're doing all messed up funky riffs ... Fortunately I recently installed a Seymour Duncan Jazz neck, and it will already bcp better (I even lost the habit of playing straight with the other mics, I should not be tough enough). So it is much better, but still a lack of acute unfortunately, a lack of slamming.
In conclusion, it depends what style of music you play with this guitar, perfect as it can be awful.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 2 years and I intend to keep it a while even if it lacks polyvalnce. I will focus on the effects and amp for now. I even wonder whether it is better to buy a second guitar to sound clear.
This is my second guitar after a very rotten (stol). The best is the selector and the microphone handle. The least c'es versatility. I forgot to mention for vibrato: it prevents more or less the désacordage, but it remains a floating tremolo, so when it hits hard the rope goes down a semitone.
With experience I think I will choose the versatility because I changed styles of music, but it was still a very very good guitar, good quality and price I think.

The Ibanez S series is a super sleek and thin bodied superstrat style guitar. The S-520 model is an HH version of this famous guitar. The guitar features a mahogany body, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with S wave inlays, an Edge tremolo, two humbuckers, one volume, one tone and a five way switch for a ton of different sounds.

UTILIZATION

The Japanese S-520 is an awesome guitar. It's a well made guitar that has great fretwork, a super sleek neck, sleek body contours and great access to the upper frets. The fretwork on these models is always top notch thanks to the luthiers over in Japan taking their time with them as compared to some other luthiers around that area. Getting to the higher frets is a breeze thanks to the All Access Neck Joint. To top it off, the guitar has an Edge trem which is one of the best trem systems in the world.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounds absolutely huge despite it being a slim bodied guitar. I really believe this is due to its mahogany body. When using mahogany instead of basswood, the wood characteristics seem to come out a bit more. Basswood can sound a bit middy and plain sounding in the top end. Mahogany has a strong low mid quality with some pleasant top end. The biggest issue with this guitar is that the stock pickups are pretty bad. I recommend replacing them with something from the DiMarzio line as they seem to suit Ibanez guitars the best.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for an HH version of the famous S-540, this is the guitar you want to look for. I find that these older Ibanez guitars tend to not only sound better than the current models, but they also seem to go real cheap on the used market for whatever reason. If you're looking for an S series and can't afford the newer models, look for one of the older Japanese ones like this.
