Made in Japan is a very good guitar.
22 box has a licensed floyd bridge a volume knob of a Tone.
2 humbucker with 5 possible configuration flat handle very pretty I have in Black.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is very enjoyable may not be very useful for beginners guitar really well but a bit fragile but so good.
each access to treble is very easy.
it is quite heavy but it is enjoyable I find. Finally, it remains correct any of the same.
in terms of sound, I had two simple guitar teacher told me 2 and he would gladly buy my place

    SOUNDS

It is versatile enough I think of hard rock and heavy metal in the blue with no problem.

    SOUNDS

It is versatile enough I think of hard rock and heavy metal in the blue with no problem.
it has strings so fine Frisse's good but a little care by causing it remains correct
    I use a pedal with a marshall 30dfx me-50 boss
I regale me with her "brothel" to play if not for the punk arpges is a real treat is very clean with some slight effect like delay or reverb gives the well or the well for fat of metal with a good distortion.

    OVERALL OPINION

I have been using one and a half years I love the effect on the paint a little biker (the color is called as his for that matter).
The trouble is that ibanez did frabrique more. it's really a good guitar though.
paid 1370 for my first guitar I am certainly happy it's quite expensive but it's a good guitar pro What should pay the price but I think it also has performance as good as guitars dearest other brands
for a first guitar I do not think I would buy one but for the 2nd guitar I think yes.
idalie not for beginners but if you play the guitar for several years when he was in his hands is a pleasure

Me that I'm talking about is the one in the picture, the Ibanez S520EX, made in Korea I took the color is gray metallic. It cost me about 640th Thomann.de

    22 frets.
Two humbucker Ibanez (INF1 and INF2).
    Acastillage black.
ZR tremolo (Zero Resistance) Ibanez home with the Zero Point system (you can disable it for a fully floating tremolo).
Mahogany body, Ebony is the key I think.
    White Binding on the neck.
    Bolt.
A tone knob and volume knob.
    3 switch positions.

    And special overlay EX series!

    And special overlay EX series!

I would have put more if the microphones had been and split. But when you see its mouth, it is clear that it is not intended to sound clear. And it is not really made for versatility.

    UTILIZATION

The handle, I would say it is perfect.
Access to treble is very good, but for example if I try to put the index on the box 20 and the little finger on right now is 22 harder ...
I find it light enough, it can be held in one hand by the handle without any problems.
Comfort is very good, and the guitar is very thin.

    SOUNDS

It suits me perfectly, rather I play metal and heavy rock, industrial.
I play a Peavey Rage 158 Transtube and that makes it less there. I can not really enjoy the sound ...
I find the clean clear sound without more ...
The pickups lack of punch frankly, but I still notice the difference with my Powersound Cort X-2.

But I imagine a good amp, and with better pickups (EMG may or DiMarzio), and there it is likely to be great!

I think with the best microphones mounted in note 9 to perhaps pasmoins anyway.

So yeah sustain is not great, but it's a floyd so I expected ...
For that, it would be better to take an AX or SZ (through-string).

    OVERALL OPINION

I have been using ... uh ... in two days it'll be one month ....

What I like most ... its look and probably sound when the equipment around will be better (I have an amp rotten, I'm going to change that may invest in a Hughes and Kettner Matrix or a small all-tube combo).
I tried a number of other guitars before: Cort X-2, Storm Stratocaster Rougeou way we see the wood through, SG Storm zero shit, Epiphone G-400 (super, really), Ibanez S470, Ibanez S470 Ergodyne (with EMG pickups Ibanez by which I was not impressed at all), a JM Forest, a Jim Harley, an LP Storm.

In the lot that I liked are the S and G-400. The G-400 is half the price, but Floyd does not (it is a SG, so naturally ...) and has a very good sustain. As against the finishes are so good.

I dragged a Cort X-2, which goes out of tune all the time during a year and a half. But my savior is here! I do it again this choice, very good value for money. This is my main guitar, I think I will invest again in a Ibanez AX or SZ for the down and Dropped D Tunings, I can not do because of the vibrato of the S ...

I got it for 600 € but she rises from so be quick
I think I do it again because this choice by setting it well it has a really good sound (recorded strings and pickups adjusted)

only negative rod floyd is described which gives a little game and a big fé Glanges if we move from the drawn pushed (and vice versa) biensur it can be used to advantage to small cool effects.

quoting my teacher: the quality is honorable
(Biensur is better but it cost much more)

So I possde the MODEL Coren (mtallique gray like the picture).

The shape is similar to other models of the Ibanez S SERIES (lol I love), a Zero Resistance tremolo, 22 frets bne handle, otherwise the MODEL CHARACTERISTICS of cor t have dja amaurythewarrior given by ^ ^.

The only "ngatif" is probably at the level of pickups: 2 humbuckers Ibanez INF1 and INF2 (the store told me that there was an active electronics, but does not damn me whether there was a stack or not, or its location)

    UTILIZATION

    UTILIZATION

The neck is an Ibanez, trs end, and I think it's perfect.
Access to acute is relatively easy.
I'm a fan of the shape of S SERIES, so it suits me quite, and I find it quite Legris, 5 hours of repeated 'standing going well ^ ^ trs.
Many people are not convinced by the pink floyd, personally, the Zero Resistance Ibanez is much simpler than other rgler.
The sound is not hard to find and TRS I find good (to have a true change rvolution scratch because before switching amplifier, the sound does not really connevait me, but this guitar help let me just change the amp to have sound even better rather than my old amp to balance out the window lol)

    SOUNDS

So I jou many nomtal, rock rather heavy, so it suits me that, but given its form (and the beautiful marking of "claw" the 12th case) is not expected trs to have a versatile guitar between his plain mains.Le passes of the same well, but with a big distortion '(I played with a Line 6 Uber metal), it sends nothing really to say this cot although the mics I lower the same notes when.

So I used an Ibanez before TB100H tone blaster, which did not suit me at all, especially with my first scraper (Yamaha Pacifica 112 ... lol), but this guitar has going dja mieu. In distortion ', I used a line 6 uber metal, therefore clean, sound n'tait not too bad (thanks the S520) but distortion' j'tais thrilled.

I now jou Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier 3 channel, so I get a little sound I DSIR (when I get the rgler lol) and my directory is a bit more complete, the amp allows me a better versatility, even with this guitar.
So thanks this, note that I put in the sound is better Whereas, because I think the sound is now parfait.Dsol if some find this note just abuse because it is due just as the amp.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months, I really love her look, I flash it, a little aggressive, without being too either (it is far from a BC rich ^ ^) I love the sound it has (even more since the rest of the stuff below). I will say that I do not like is the limit guitarist who uses it ^ ^, otherwise, everything else is perfect for me.

So I started on a yamaha pacified 112 (no comment ...), there is no comparison I had had enough of this guitar before switching, I tried many MODELS, not a little (I did not jou just 3 minutes from scratch and then chose). I tried a lot of Ibanez: S470 (quite similar to me), RG321 (too simple fixed bridge and above), IC400 (I love the shape, but too many people take it just because Daron (of DICO) the same, and I wanted no one thinks of me lol, also the bridge is fixed, and it is a bit heavy), etc.. A gibson SG (sound perfect, but I found the handle too pais, and the bridge was too high and gnait me to play).
I tried the S520EX because I find her look trs catchy, and it was love at first sight, the report qualitprix trs is good given the quality of the guitar and the ZR tremolo.
Apart from the pickups that make me so lower the note, I find it perfect but against, with more of experience, if c'tait choice again, I will not wait so long before the buy ^ ^.

The S-520 Ibanez EX BBK that I have made was taken in Japan.
It has a Wizard II neck very fast with 22 frets and markers wave-shaped pearl on the rosewood fingerboard, body, thin and light specific to the series Sabre Mahogany which is a good sustain, the combination of pickups IBZ V1 & V2 with a 5 way switch controlled by a volume & one tone and finally finishing BBK (Biker's black) and a very beautiful fittings in a "gun barrel".
Vibrato is an Edge (lo-pro edge) Licensed Floyd Rose nut with a block-chords.

Vibrato is an Edge (lo-pro edge) Licensed Floyd Rose nut with a block-chords.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is a real treat to smooth and speed to modern techniques (tapping, demanchées, slides, etc ...) while remaining comfortable in the hand. To my taste, the best round I played on all makes and models combined.
The cutaway and the neck joint / body facilitate maximum access to the latest boxes and generally play the guitar so thin, so light is pure pleasure.
Microphones V1 & V2 (found on the RG 550 20th Anniversary ressiue) Humbuckers are very good (according to my dealer, they will builds summers in collaboration with Seymour Duncan). No background noise even at high volume, timbre strong medium and good general definition of sound, warm & mellow on the neck pickup, powerful lens on the bridge pickup. Note the 5 way switch (for 3 against IBZ Infinity pickups) that expanded the sonic palette with intermediate positions in the manner of a Start '.

    SOUNDS

I chose this model after having played for 40 minutes in the store on a Combo H & K has a lamp and I deeply enjoyed relative to Jackson & ESP tested just before.
The sound distortion (Marshall Guv'nor or Zoom Extreme Distortion) is very accurate, making it a good guitar for metal.
I play a Selmer amp reverb 60W 2-channel I dope with a Zoom G2, a Crybaby Wha and from time to time one or Guv'nor Ibanez CM5 Classic Metal.
I set my things strictly and I change the grain according to the time from the guitar itself (volume / tone / selector) which allows me to cover a wide spectrum of sound.
Definitely love the V2 of this with the Ibanez distortion and although the V1 drooling slightly on this type of effect, it remains clean and powerful at a time.

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought this guitar three months ago and I can not let go! lol
I had really fallen in love with this beautiful 520 S EX finish with this very special and more, the price is reasonable for an instrument of this quality.
I love its smoothness, its playability and sound of this guitar. Compared to her, my Fender Stratocaster seems to me less obvious and too heavy to play (long live the Wizard!)
A heartbeat, if it again, and again I will choose the S-520 EX BBK.
    Thank you.

There are two buttons rglages: Volume and Tone (Conventional), with a microphone slecteur 3 positions: each micro double and two singles.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is like Wizard, who is well known, is the Excalibur of Ibanez! Quick and easy play in the program: bends ISSA Access in acute also. The guitar is all the more lgre that its shape is practical and comfortable fit I've never had any problem, either standing or sitting. Diffrent pallet of sounds are enjoyable to explore, but it remains nanmoins in a good guitar rock.

    SOUNDS

This guitar suits me perfectly, also I love playing jazz or blues or even some music in her clear, and this makes it just as well. I play on my little 10W amp Drive (can), with an old Boss pedals MT2, sometimes a crybaby wah-wah. I, however, there is little chang bridge pickup, really runny, with a DiMarzio Evolution: ... nothing to see ... a sound and well thought rock! I love the sound of solo neck pickup when the sweep is in the treble, or legato: it prcis and round. In the bass, the bridge pickup is trs INTERESTED to its harmonics. However, the micro factory is in the high times pnible.

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought this guitar for the 2007 t, and I really do not t's: just LGREMENT dconcert the draft of the bridge pickup.
There is nothing wrong and will never be on the Ibanez S SERIES: lightweight but strong body, comfortable, with a sound that rsons nanmoins.
Ditto for the handle: ergonomic, fast, ...
S520ex I love this for its looks, its construction as mentioned above. The colors are simple and pretty (except red).
I used to be a SERIES of Ibanez RG, heavier but excellent, I also test an old Jackson, really more metal type, but in the end that had the look. My guitar was a Samick Premire SG, low-end ... of all, the S keeps my preferences.
I paid the 780 era, NEW, and I do not regret this purchase srement, qualitprix the report does not even doing, but plutt qualitplaisir / comfort / flown lyric ... sorry I get carried away.
"I would do srement that choice." AudioFanzine to quote.

I put 9 / 10 because there is no split for the microphones was originally some think it's a guitar made just for mtal so who cares! Splitt, well I am telling you my mics not even clean sounds!

    UTILIZATION

The handle is perfect you can really dfouler level sweep, tapping, legato ...
Access in acute and nickel also, for the sweep on Most recent internship boxes no problem,
the body is mahogany, but rest assured you can not not break it back either! trs is late compared with RG in the same brand, with my kit Seymour Duncan (see above) Splitter REALLY get all the sounds I want, jazz, blues, rock, clean, mtal (heavy, trash, no, speed ...), shred ... MAGR his head to the pe tnbres can tame easily have

on the vibrato, I bought it mainly for a, it is fabulous despite the opinion of the purists ngatifs floyd rose, it does not dsaccorde I also possde jackson with a floyd rose original, not worth the ZR!
despite the innovation of the ZR, I warned you if your a fan of dive bombs and other stunts to floyd, the sock (or the pice is screwed bar) of the vibrato is not really solid, the mine broke ... I quickly found a solution by buying the pice replacement for floyd rose ( https://www.thomann.de/fr/schaller_tremolobar_black_362003.htm ) that fits perfectly, and since it is the luxury! but for default of quality I put 8 because it dcevant instantly

    SOUNDS

As you can see the scratch is perfect for me, with a style typical shred-metal, like Children of Bodom, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Patrick RONDAT, arch enemy ...

I play a peavey bandit branch 112, the old lamps MODELS simulation of distortion pedals + a metal master, digitech of, and a chorus-delay visual sound H0, so I have an incredible range of sounds

I can not, however, too learn about the original pickups, but it seems they do not have such MRIT violin ...

The sounds I get with it are really perfect, beautiful are clear, are saturated prcis, but once full, it is a great rpondant thanks to the mahogany body!
I put 10/10, but do not advance if you plan to buy new ...

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months for me résumé:
    Pros:
    -Mahogany body
    Trs trs rgonomique-round comfort
    Trs trs-body rgonomique comfortable
    Soignes-finishes (binding. ..)
    Potential sound-standard

    ngatifs points:
22-round boxes (just Gnant sometimes ...)
-You need to change the pickups to operate its "sonic potential," but you will not be due
    -No split
The sock-vibrato a little too good marchbr />
when a "Zero Resistance Original"? should be more people trying to ZR S teams, as these are vibrato for me above the vibrato blades (type floyd rose)
voila, so I put 9 because it does not have a big big default if you do not overload the tortures floyd ...

Ibanez seeks out to build an manufacture good quality sounding and very inexpensive instruments. Their guitars is no exception. You can get some of their much more prestigious guitars from their prestige line all way down to some of the most basic beginner guitars available.

So you have a vast array of different guitars for different folks different price ranges and definitely different build qualities. This guitar is a good guitar for someone he's learning the learning how to play the guitar and need something that will be very versatile but also be extremely comfortable to play. One of the great features that Ibanez has is there comfortable next and just overall feel and balance to the guitar. They're pretty inexpensive if what you get I think there is a lot more to be said than just the good price.

    SOUNDS

This guitar sounds phenomenal and a hiking amplifier setting. When you put this in front of say a Mesa boogie, or a Marshall, or a Bogner amplifier you can get some great singing lead and rhythm tones. What I really like about Ibanez guitars is a neck is so comfortable especially when you're playing lead lines and soloing. It has a very percussive and direct focus tone that lends itself to many metal players and hard rock players. These guitars have been used by many shredding guitar players because of the comfortability in the east to glide up and down the fretboard.

Another great feature and the sound of this guitar is that the humbucker pick ups. They're pretty cheap pick ups but overall they sound pretty decent in this guitar. Again this is not a high end boutique guitar and Ibanez does make those type of guitars for certain people's budgets. But this is going to be a guitar that's good to sound good and get you what you need for a very inexpensive price but with a great quality of sound.

    OVERALL OPINION

You can find these guitar for right around $250 which is a great price for this. I highly recommend this guitar to anyone he's wanting to learn how to play the guitar or who just wants to step up to a shredder type guitar. It's a comfortable neck and a comfortable balance overall. The guitar has a decent balance and wait to it and the neck in my opinion is the selling point of these guitars. They're very comfortable and very nice and smooth on the backside which makes it easy to play. Anyone he wants to get into a good feeling guitar that needs something that will be ready for heart rock and metal and this is your guitar.

    - What type of bridge (Floyd, Wilkinson ...)?
The bridge is the famous ZR, a vibrato that works on ball bearings instead of having two pivots that still will break after a while ... There is a nut on the block as a string guitars with Floyd, can adjust the tension of the vibrato come away and the rest is just the same as the Floyd Rose. Note that on mine, she had a little trouble back in a neutral position (detuning of the orde of 1 / 10th of tone, the small désacordage begins to tickle the ears roughly) at the end it ' is boring, it is left like that.

    - What are the settings (volume, tone, micro switch ...)?

Good guitar but not very versatile

Vibrato "Zero Resistance" with adjustable spring back of the guitar
    Two Humbucker
Fine tuning, ie at the easel like a violin.
Setting the tone and volume (1 each)
The Big plus: 5-way switch with:
    - Bridge humbucker in series (normal)
    - Parallel with a microphone humbucker bridge humbucker with ONE microphone handle
    - Both Humbucker
    - Parallel with the two humbucker pickups
    - Neck humbucker in series (normal)

The big plus: the selector and good vibrato. The least: quality microphones.

    UTILIZATION

Another excellent point about this guitar is the neck. Very comfortable to play, fluid, very fast. However, wide enough for those who do not.

Easy access to acute (22 cases)

    SOUNDS

I use the guitar with either a fender frontman for me either with a big Marshall I borrow. I also have several effects including distortion OS-2 that I use with the frontman.
Note that I'm not very "sharpened" in sound.
The sounds are very good with distortion. For metal it's perfect for rock that sounds very good, etc..
The big problem is that clean, there is more than treble! No slamming of everything from serious dansl're doing all messed up funky riffs ... Fortunately I recently installed a Seymour Duncan Jazz neck, and it will already bcp better (I even lost the habit of playing straight with the other mics, I should not be tough enough). So it is much better, but still a lack of acute unfortunately, a lack of slamming.
In conclusion, it depends what style of music you play with this guitar, perfect as it can be awful.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've had 2 years and I intend to keep it a while even if it lacks polyvalnce. I will focus on the effects and amp for now. I even wonder whether it is better to buy a second guitar to sound clear.
This is my second guitar after a very rotten (stol). The best is the selector and the microphone handle. The least c'es versatility. I forgot to mention for vibrato: it prevents more or less the désacordage, but it remains a floating tremolo, so when it hits hard the rope goes down a semitone.
With experience I think I will choose the versatility because I changed styles of music, but it was still a very very good guitar, good quality and price I think.

    HH version of the S540

    Ibanez S520EXPublished on 05/18/11 at 13:00
The Ibanez S series is a super sleek and thin bodied superstrat style guitar. The S-520 model is an HH version of this famous guitar. The guitar features a mahogany body, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets with S wave inlays, an Edge tremolo, two humbuckers, one volume, one tone and a five way switch for a ton of different sounds.

    UTILIZATION

The Japanese S-520 is an awesome guitar. It's a well made guitar that has great fretwork, a super sleek neck, sleek body contours and great access to the upper frets. UTILIZATION

The Japanese S-520 is an awesome guitar. It's a well made guitar that has great fretwork, a super sleek neck, sleek body contours and great access to the upper frets. The fretwork on these models is always top notch thanks to the luthiers over in Japan taking their time with them as compared to some other luthiers around that area. Getting to the higher frets is a breeze thanks to the All Access Neck Joint. To top it off, the guitar has an Edge trem which is one of the best trem systems in the world.

    SOUNDS

The guitar sounds absolutely huge despite it being a slim bodied guitar. I really believe this is due to its mahogany body. When using mahogany instead of basswood, the wood characteristics seem to come out a bit more. Basswood can sound a bit middy and plain sounding in the top end. Mahogany has a strong low mid quality with some pleasant top end. The biggest issue with this guitar is that the stock pickups are pretty bad. I recommend replacing them with something from the DiMarzio line as they seem to suit Ibanez guitars the best.

    OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking for an HH version of the famous S-540, this is the guitar you want to look for. I find that these older Ibanez guitars tend to not only sound better than the current models, but they also seem to go real cheap on the used market for whatever reason. If you're looking for an S series and can't afford the newer models, look for one of the older Japanese ones like this.
