UTILIZATION

Guitar actually very slight, especially for the thickness of wood there is. It's quite surprising, but at the same time the bridge weighs nothing (compared to a floyd that is already almost single-handedly 400g) and the cavity of electronics this guitar is almost a semi-hollow ... : D

The satin finish is quite fragile, is starting to cross in places (under the bridge).

I can not judge the mechanical origins, self-locking Sperzel were mounted on mine when I recovered.

SOUNDS

The original Ibanez neck pickup is really good, very round and warm: similar to an air box with a little less potato and basses. Sounds from jazz to rock.

The bridge pickup is a little way, a clean sound it delivers a slam that I find very usable. In saturated it's okay, but not transcendent, a good rock sound. For the metal will be missing some level of output and accuracy.

Position medium being able to assay the two microphones is interesting and can create good funk sound.

A tip: both pickups Ibanez does come with a pair of cables w / hot. In fact the microphones are not used and split-or a 5-way switch.

OVERALL OPINION

Received five days ago, I hastened to migrate the microphones that were on my Ibanez RGA121: an air zone and a lab with a crunch on each split. The guitar is at once sublime: sounds very warm and round in the neck position, beautiful sound strat typed into split sleeve (RGA with the 24 cases did not allow such a beautiful likeness), its creamy enough crunch on the lab, with a very interesting split twang.
A priori, therefore, a good guitar "Swiss knife" for next year then! : P

UTILIZATION

This is a super enjoyable to play guitar, trs comfortable and well lgre balance with a
handle and look fabulous.

SOUNDS

I replaced the original pickups V1 and V2 (typs vintage ... so-called ill-balanced and not in harmony with the guitar at her for my taste) with 2 Di Marzio
Paf Pro (neck) and Fred (bridge) with a push-push knob the tone for the singles and the splitter is a killer, its a hell of a sustain that lasts 3 jours.La guitar gaining versatility and precision in terms of sound.

OVERALL OPINION

I was looking for a guitar "soft modern", SZ 1220 is a good compromise between Gibson and PRS has a relatively interresting, I bought new 820.00 to fly, however the replacement of the microphones is necessary ... in my opinion.
