Numark ICDX

There are so many features I haven't explored all of them yet The loop engine is nice, the effects are decent, including the filter. ONE thing I would like the CDX to have is a card reader (Compact Flash)... Instead of burning CDs of my sounds each time, it would be handy to simply drag them on the card to use them.

The sound quality is very good. Even if you scratch fast, the sound does not seem to come out of a video game and remains smooth.

It is quite easy to use if you want to scratch. The manual is not perfect though and I find the loop/sampler engine to be a little confusing still.

It is heavy and solid.

I love it because it is unique. Using the CDX is quite special. It does feel like a vinyl turntable, you can "grab" the platter from any angle, the size and weight of it adds to the charm. Everyone who comes over and touches the CDX is blown away.

This is where it all goes wrong ... I am on my 5th repair including two replacements within a year. I was a bit worried about buying Numark and now know I wuz right. They broke twice during live sets and have just been a real pain ... cost me bookings. This is a real shame cos when they work they are just so coooool Switching to Pioneer CDJ800's

Kinda love and hate ... its a relationship that just cant work for me ... I lost confidence in the brand forever

Great Sound quaility.

Easy to use.

This thing is a lemon I have 2 of them and they both broke after about 3 weeks. I sent them back and they broke again and I had to pay to ship them to Rhode Island which is not cheap since there 19 pounds each. I have in/out problems where the cd comes out without prompt and sometimes it just stops working in the middle of my set. I think Numark is a very innovative company but they do not care much about there customers.

If it were reliable it would be the greatest table ever.
