Alright folks,

I am from Dublin, Ireland and I have been producing for about 6 months. my set-up is pretty simple:

Dell 500m Centrino 1.4Ghz, 512Mb, m-audio radium-49 MIDI keyboard.

Reason, ReCycle, Rebirth, Fruityloops (+ many VST's), Acid, Cooledit pro, Wavelab.

I am interested in downtempo/chill-out, as well as bridging the gap between experimental rock and dance.

I am also working on my Thesis project entitled 'Multiple channel audio capture using FireWire under Linux' so if anyone has any interest in that then dont hesitate to contact me.

I hope to use this site to help me and to help others in budget music production. keep it rockin' :o

Welcome to Studioathome and thanks for joining. Apart from your musical activity I am glad that you also carry out a thesis on music technology. Its subject sounds interesting and innovating... :) don't hesitate to publish any article about it on the board.

Was your thesis subject a personal wish ? What applications under Linux have you in mind ?
