I have been playing off & on for 35 years. I am not in a band, and I like blues & blues oriented rock.

I bought this guitar from a Craig'slist ad for US $600.00.

The thin maple neck and the Seymore-Duncan pickups. The guitar has a very wide range of tones from the unmistakable tele twang to a rich, deep humbucker. I bend a lot and it never goes out of tune or breaks a string.

No dislikes yet. I think I will be looking to add a semi-hollowbody to my collection, but this guitar is about perfect for anyone wanting a great solid-body guitar. Buy one used if you can, because they don't seem to hold their resale value very well despite being much better than a Fender. Great if you're buying-sucks if you're selling.

Solid as a rock, durable attractive finish (blue swirl).

This is THE guitar to get for anyone wanting a quality telecaster that's capable of that tele-sound and a whole lot more. I am thrilled with it and I have a hard time putting it down. I was initially interested more in aquiring a Les Paul, but not any more.

I'm in an alternative rock band, and I've been playing guitar for about 18 years.

I found this guitar at a pawn shop in early 2000. Luckily, the pawn shop owner knows nothing about the value of guitars...so I bought a $1600 guitar in near-mint condition for $300.

I love the sound and the stability of the guitar. Most of the time it's set on the bridge pickup through my Vox AC30 at low-medium gain, which sounds like a beefed-up Telecaster or a slightly brighter Les Paul. These single coils have very little noise, which is great for playing at high volume. The neck joint feels rock solid, despite only having three bolts. With some knob tweeking, I can make the ASAT sound like almost any guitar I want. It is very versatile and very solid--an all-around AWESOME axe.

Not much...It's kinda ugly and the jack needed to be replaced, but that's what you pay for when you get a guitar from a pawn shop. That, and it's kinda pricy if you aren't as lucky as I am.

It came with a bad output jack, but everything else is still just as solid as when I bought it about 6 years ago.

If you're thinking of buying a high-end Telecaster or a Les Paul, definitely consider the ASAT Special. G&L makes amazing guitars, and this one is definitely no exception.

UTILIZATION

I have a deluxe Assat is just my best guitar!
The finish is amazing, an incredible stustain, heat, etc ...

I rock and blues.

SOUNDS

I would say it sounds at first Les Paul, and learning to the rule you can get a clear sound that is close in brightness of a layer ... in short I can do anything on it.

OVERALL OPINION

When you consider that it cost less than a strat US base ... and quite frankly I do not know what causes people to continue to buy Fender or Gibson ???????????

Made in the form tl States, trs well finished, with elements of trs good quality (much better than fender ....).
Tone volume and a three-position selector. Two types of micro P90.

UTILIZATION

Channel rather late, with a satin varnish trs "fast", access to acute, although the heel is pais, is no problem. The guitar is well balance. The vacuum is a clear and trs of quality dj

SOUNDS

The sound is incredible micro trs are powerful, while keeping an extraordinary precision, and without breath there is as powerful as micro double prcis but much more!
Instead, gives the central position to address sound blues / funk trs convincing. The treble can go from a saturated hard rock sound clear and keg but never be agrssif!
The sustain is long trs ...
The Tone knob is of a formidable ffective! Nothing to do with the fender. I never use it on my Start but the truth is a rgal to sculpt sound jazzy example, it is progressive and efficient trs. Ditto for the volume knob, which does not change the spectral balance of the guitar when the volume down!
In résumé as trs good!

OVERALL OPINION

For me it's a good guitar trs "pro" in the sense or the sound fits all situations and all styles. In short: Versatile, High Performance are the key words for Defines. The only criticism he can be is to miss the personality but dpend types of amp you put derrire ...
A great value quality price! and a true alternative to Fender ...
