UTILIZATION
The features are generally very good and usable for the home player or if you're recording.
each of the mini toggles do a lot to the sound and are very dramatic when compared to some other egnater amps. Though I wouldn't say the features are very usable in a live situation since none of the main features are footswitchable. I don't even think a footswitch comes with the combo.
However, it is really easy to use and tweak.
SOUNDS
The tweaker as stock is decent sounding. The distortion is very stiff which could be good for some player but for me it has a sort of midrange I 'm not very fond of.It's also a little brittle sounding overall, you have to play with the treble and bright switch to find a good balance. The clean is also not bad, very usable. I think the main strengths of this amp is sort of the clean with some breakup-type of tone. Light rock, rock maybe some heavier rock. Of course I'm talking about without using any external effects.
However it is very versatile, each of the ac,brit and usa sounds are very distinct and dramatically change the EQ curve. The vintage modern switch does make a difference also. With each flick of a switch, you'll have to start re-eqing again to get things sounding good. Which is good, cause that means that the tone actually changes!
OVERALL OPINION
overall I am not a super big fan. I find this amp to be decent sounding at best. but I think it's the versatility that makes it seem so popular. And unfortunately like most pieces of guitar gear, the more versatile it is, the less good it is at the specific sounds. Like a trade-off, versatility for tone, tone for versatility etc.
I think this amp has potential however, for someone who has a variety of pedals and whatnot, and the newer tweaker models coming out seem to be improved versions of the original.

SOUNDS
I was looking for a small combo for small scenes with my group. Usually, I play through a Marshall Vintage Modern 50W and I wanted to find the heat lamps. The other guitarist in my group made me try a Fender Supercontrol but it literally kills distos and overdrives. The egnater has a very good record at this level. It gets a great sound clear sound but also its distortion / overdrive, very good to my taste!
OVERALL OPINION
I play with for a few weeks and I do not regret my purchase. I tried the Fender superfield and Blackstar ID30 PST (very cold in sound I think ...).
What I like the most is the sound quality for a small 15W combo and small footprint for small scenes.
The price / quality ratio seems correct and I would do this choice without difficulty.
In short, to recommend

Good sound, robust, and versatile
Published on 01/04/14 at 12:16 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Characteristics are already detailed on the product page.
No pedal to switch between two channels (Clean / Hot), the rocker is done manually with a button.
A Master button for volume after the pre-amp section, which allows you to play at low volume while having a good sound.
UTILIZATION
Many settings, but good sound is obtained immediately, with good balance and good bass.
Settings offer variants to refine its sound to his own taste (lighter or rounder, more compressed or not ...).
Switch the USA / AC / Brit can change the 3 tone controls (treble, middle, bass) and reacted like a Fender / Vox / Marshall. Vintage button / Modern allows for a more modern compressed sound.

Other switches have more subtle results and compared the change in sound may change the position of the guitar pickups, they are rather light.
The sound saturation are varied and good.
The manual is clear and gives examples of settings: british clean, soft compression, Blues Deluxe, smooth jazzy clean, crunch rock, metal bedroom ...
SOUNDS
A clean sound that makes live microphones guitar and overdriven sounds good.
Perfect for playing blues and rock, rhythmic or soil. And force to the heavy or grunge.
Perfect for playing with pedals with the clean channel, either directly or by using the input loop.
Suits my style rather access to pop and rock sound experiments.
Tested with a Fender Strat and a Gibson over the standard Paul. I play with a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster (P90). Each guitar retains its temperament.
I play with pedals combinations: huge way supa puss (delay) EarthQuaker hoof fuzz, Death by Audio Apocalypse (distortion, fuzz), mxr blue box, zvex sonar (tremolo) EarthQuaker organizer (octave) Subdecay Spring Theory (reverb ) ... and it comes out nickel.
OVERALL OPINION
Purchased in July 2013.
Before buying, I tried the Fender Super-Sonic 22, the Vox AC15C1, the peavey classic 30. I opted for the Egnater, a good compromise value for money.
It sounds great right away respecting the grain of the guitar, and allows to properly break in several registers. Accepts great all types of pedals.
Well to make the catch.
Some switches have a relatively minor impact on the sound (bright / normal, tight / deep). No switch in pedal to switch clean / hot.
