The 3rd Power Amp British Dream and Dream Weaver mkII heads are already available, the American Dream mkII is soon to be released.
The three amps have a Class A/B full-valve topology and feature an HybridMaster system that allows for reducing the power from 50W to 1W. Each amp has two channels, 16/8/4 Ohm speaker outputs, a Stage/Studio output mode switch that delivers either 100% or 20% of the output level respectively, an an effect loop.
The British Dream mkII offers the sound of the AC amps on channel 1 and ’68 Plexi “Super Lead” on channel 2. The first channel also includes a 4-voice switch (Normal, Brilliance, Top Boost 1 and 2) along with a volume knob, a medium range boost/cut switch and a Top Cut knob. You can also adjust the volume and three-band EQ on the second channel.
The amp head is equipped with two Mullard Reissue EL34 power tubes, one JJ Electronics EF806, two ECC83S and one 12AX7 LPS preamp tubes and a hybrid switchable rectifier system with one GZ34 tube (40W of power) or a solid-state socket (50W).
The American Dream mkII reproduces the tones of the ’63 Brownface on channel 1 with volume, tone, and Bright switch, and ’65 Blackface on channel 2 with volume, basse, treble and Bright switch. The Blackface channel also benefits from a footswitchable Tube Bias Tremolo.
The amp hosts two 6L6 power tubes and includes the same solid-state/GZ34 switchable rectifying system.
Last, if you can’t choose between UK and US, the Dream Weaver mkII offers the best of both worlds: channel 1 reproduces Blackface or Tweed voices with volume, bass and treble knobs, while channel 2 has the sound of the ’68 Plexi Super Lead with volume and 3-band EQ controls. A presence knob is also available on this model and, a nice particularity, a Jump features allows for blending both channels thanks to multiple inputs that can be connected via the included cable/
This amp features two Mullard Reissue EL34 power tubes, three ECC83S and one 12AX7 LPS tubes in the preamp stage and the same hybrid rectifier system.
