The 100W all-tube 3-channel VL300 head has circuitry that combines elements of the Legacy I and Legacy II. Channel 1 & 2 are the same as the original channel 1 & channel 2 circuitry found on the Legacy I. Channel 3 is a 2nd lead channel with a high gain switch. Features of the Legacy 3 include a master volume control, which controls the volume of all 3 channels without affecting preamp gain settings; a variable, footswitch controlled master boost; variable, channel-assignable reverb; and internal LED lighting which can have different colors assigned to each channel. Additionally, the VL300 sports MIDI in/through connections compatible with standard MIDI controllers, effect loop, bias and impedance switches, and more. The standard finish on the cover is tan, or you can upgrade to Steve’s personal “Vai Green”.
Also available is the new Legacy C212S slant-front 2 X 12 cabinet, loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. You can order a complete VL3212 mini-stack, which includes the VL300 head, C212S cabinet, and C5S speaker cable; or a full size, 4 X 12 VL3412 half-stack; or just the cabinet by itself.
