Gibson Explorer New Century

Guitar made in USA, 22 frets, 496R 500T pickups, tune o matic bridge + stop bar, two volumes, a Tone round 60's.
mechanical mini grover (attention, those sausage fingers may be gns). I had to tighten if the agreement does not hold. after, no worries.
the particularity of the skyscraper: a large carbon plate replaces the table.
(I have the carbon version, no mirror)
the veneer is very thin like glue but faded a little thumb behind the handle.
given the fact that it is an explosion, and that one does not the legend, I put 10 even if the paint gets on my nerves a bit and adjusting the mechanical is hardu. But that's part of the game for the 10/10 exploration c, but c FAC on other guitars you can get better for these details precisment

UTILIZATION

The handle is enjoyable trs, vertical displacements are very ISSA, I find it quite enjoyable. rather late, it will not fit all hands forcment.
Access in acute is completely free, no worries.
the guitar alone is not nodding, even the handle is very vertical, which makes it easier left hand, just under his right hand.
it says it is even more stable if we move the strap at the table (near the knobs), which is not too visually con and is especially much more convenient to play.
Ergonomics is very good, the guitar is quite heavy but I have not had the OCCAZ try a more conventional explosive. say that comparing it as heavy as a les paul.

when the sound, everything is good, the sound is open as usual with Gibson, the quality of a violin replacing the table with a plate of carbon does not seem a negative factor for the sound.
The sustain is very long, the sound is typical of metal, but some do trs beautiful blues and rock with much upset.
for jazz, do not even deconnr qd. eventually play with the knobs of the neck pickup but ... it's like to cross the Atlantic in the hold of a freighter possible but .... .. c

SOUNDS

I play on a line6 Flextone 3XL, guitar Afirm to the personality. the palm mutes are enormissimes, solos fruits, crystaline clean sounds, the powerful distos have a very beautiful grain. it sound professional.
against by the level of precision at the back and forth super fast ca a drooling max, c not really done.
v as a result I soon changed the pickups to a Seymour Duncan active set, and we'll see what happens.
but otherwise everything else gibson mics are very good and marry well with the violin, which gives the original guitar sound was rather dull, with little in the low treble (this is only trend, ca can be arranged with the settings the amp fde)

OVERALL OPINION

Overall very nice and very good guitar, I got it for cheap but with a default: the selector is wrong in the neck position, I will see my luthier qd I received my set of microphones.
except between 1200 and 1500 ca seems justified.
this guitar is produced 400 copies, so Gibson's certainly spend some money to be able to produce, and it is a quality guitar.
