SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I work with a MacBook Pro running Tiger legacy 2.6 GHz and 2GB RAM. Mbox2 soundcard. In short, nothing extra, but this product is more than enough, it is not greedy.

OVERALL OPINION

I have no other product to compare, but I am very happy to Eze, the sound is good, realistic game with the "humanized" which allows a game more realistic, therefore less accurate, it gives the groove.
Small problem: the samples are not heavy at all, but this is explained by the fact that the drum sounds are short, except those cymbals. And that's where it catches a little bit, because the velocity on the cymbals is at once small enough to not that the software is too greedy. But frankly I'm fine me, there's plenty to do.
So if you want a good drum sound and not very expensive, this software is really excellent, I recommend it. No-brainer, simple to use, with basic rhythm loops in different metrics (editable of course), breaks quite a few also ... satified.

The installation is very simple, like Maj.
Never had any pbm and cons of the system-code is not binding ...

The general setup is easy and relatively intuitive.

No incompatibilities encountered so far.

No need to read the doc a little demo video and it rolls to use EZD

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

EZD works on all my configs, small or large, so no worries side perfs! The only downside is that I find loading a little long memory when starting the vsti or a change of kit.

OVERALL OPINION

EZD I acquired 2 years ago and I still buy all extensions that are of a quality quite impressive!

The ability to preview loops, composing his own sets in detail, and copy and paste the MIDI patterns directly into the sequencer, it's great!
Function humanize gives a grain of realism extra.

This is an excellent value for money and I would do this choice without hesitation.

SUPERIOR DRUMMER IS STILL MUCH MORE COMPLETE AND RICHER IN MIXING AND STAMP.
C4EST TRUE THAT IS DELIVERED WITH A RANGE OF SOUNDS FAIRLY LOW AND IT DO NOT HESITATE TO ENRICH THE COLLECTION WITH ADDITIONAL PACKS.

No worries or installation for the main program nor the DFH VST ect.

At setup, everything is very clear and easy to access. Did not consult the manual.

Config Athlon x2 4200 + with XP Pro, 3GB RAM, internal sound card Realtek, ASIO4ALL driver and it runs with very low latency in Cubase 4.Pas worry especially if you have RAM.

I use EZ Drummer last year, tested by word of mouth, and I still do not budge for another quasi logiciel.Etant computer music beginner, I could use it all sounds rapidement.Ca now!

€ bought 60 secondhand, as nine it is well worth its price.

The installation and config? Looks like another, it falls on. It should just be able to register online with the computer on which the app is installed, otherwise it may seem it be the puzzle.

P4 3.0 Ghz, 2GB RAM
The software is very stable. The few crashes tend to attribute to my soundcard, in my opinion. I can even run two instances in parallel without any real worries.
For cons, the 44.1 kHz mode is required in your sequencer, on pain of déconnage complete. If you want to mix to a higher frequency, it requires making bounces all the tracks and then convert.

OVERALL OPINION

I first bought a dung named Drumkit from hell 2, which sounded good but took down all the time (useless). So it changed my life to have a virtual drum turning, but I quickly became annoyed by certain limitations. I used it 6 months before moving to Superior Drummer 2.

Specifically, banks of sounds (rock / pop and Drumkit from hell to speak only of what I know) does not sound terrible but have the advantage of having qualities that complement each other:
- Rock / Pop: good bass drums and a Charles with a lot of nuances. Cons by the toms and snare drums are incredibly soft.
- DFH: bass drum that sounds awful plastic, charles in "typewriter" mandatory. Cons by the toms sound of the fire god.
No snare drum and cymbal any (apart from Chinese and splashes of DFH) of these two banks do not really satisfy me.

The quality / price of the day (150 euros with an extension available) is correct and no more.

With experience, I ... in fact, had I known that Superior Drummer come out 6 months after my purchase, maybe I should have waited 6 months or I would have bought DFH Superior pending.

2 years of use to go over ... why? + I would say average, seems adequate in a mix ... but the MIDI loop that are practical and well made (beautiful ghost note) are not varied enough ... Well for pop / Rock...Je prefers Addictive Drum widely above!
Otherwise it is great to make the move.

But "BFD2 eco" is going to take market share as its best ...

I do not do it again over this choice, however the benefit of eco BFD2! Toontrack EZ Seems exceeded dynamic, but very complete library to this day ..

I have had no problem installing the prog is not heavy and easy to configure. The record is not particularly provided but it is really simple.

I use a Mac G5 in 2005 with just 2 meg of ram (max at the time) very good stability, but soon he must add big sounds my config is limited. must freeze the tracks to avoid overdose. But nothing serious and with the new Mac configs found now it should no longer be a problem ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2007 and I'm almost more step as I loved to do, the samples are simply stunning and with the additional bank there 's nothing much to say. Less is at the volume settings for the cymbals, which is not separated.

Ezdrummer installs very easily, although it takes a little while since the sample library is a few GB's. You don't have to do any confusing sample copy and pasting though to random directories. The installer is all automatic and it's an easy process. I use a Windows computer with Nuendo and the VST version of ezDrummer, and I don't have any compatibility problems. After you get installed the configuration is very easy and lives up to its name. The manual is great and easy to understand.

I have a Dell computer with a dual core processor, windows XP, a MOTU sound card, and I'm running Nuendo. It works perfectly well with my system. The latency is not a big problem, ezdrummer is not actually all that heavy on CPU usage. It does eat up a lot of RAM though - usually around ~250MB depending on what drums you have loaded up. So you'll want to have plenty of RAM available especially if you're using any other sample based software at the same time. Ezdrummer is very stable, no problems here with crashes or anything.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using ezDrummer for the past year or so. I absolutely love it. The drums sound very good right off the bat, and then you are able to customize the samples in the kit, the levels of each one, the amount of room sound, the bleed on the 'mics', and you can also route the individual channels to their own track in your DAW for further processing if needed. They also give you a large bank of pre-made MIDI grooves which sound very good and professional - I'm sure they were made by a pro session drummer. Another bonus is the "humanize" feature, which introduces slight timing variations to increase the realism of the track. They also have multiple sample layers to avoid the "machine gune effect" like you'd hear on a snare roll. I have tried most of the drum software out there, and this is usually my first stop when I need to make a drum track. Not only is it one of the best sounding ones, it takes you about half as much time to get up and running with an appropriate groove as it does with most of the competition. I am a huge fan of this software. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

No problem to install, you'll need an internet connection to authorize it. You can install it on two different computers at once but the number of swaps you are entitled to is limited.

The manual is a .pdf file which provides all the informations you may need.

I have a Intel Dual Core processor with 2Gb RAM. I don't yet have a proper sound card but using Asio4All makes up for that (yes it DOES work with a basic, default multimedia soundcard). I use it with Cubase Studio 4 and Toontrack's new tool "Toontrack solo" which allows to use either of Toontrack's compatible drums samplers (EZ drummer or Drumkit from Hell Superior) in standalone mode, with no incompatibility yet.

Depending on the available resources on your system you can choose to have the drumset come out either as a single stereo mix or 8 tracks (corresponding to the virtual microphones on your virtual drums room), which allows you to apply your effects seperately on each item from the kit (e.g. compression on the snare, distortion on the kick, flange on the toms etc) and to adjust the volume of each element (as in a real-life studio you can't isolate each cymbal but you can turn off the recording of the rest of the kit by the overhead). The most common kits eat up approximately 250Mb of RAM, but you can easily alleviate the burden to your system by unloading the individual elements which you don't intend to use.

OVERALL OPINION

I started using it a few days ago, I really like the way it sounds (both the basic pop/rock kit and the DFH extension pack are awesome) and the fact that its use is intuitive. I used to work with free drum samplers or drum machines such as Blue Noise's MyDrumsets, Loopazoid (a great tool but you have to find your own samples elsewhere) or Cubase's default drum machine (which name I can't remember), but EZ drummer is definitely way ahead with the number of different combinations it offers.
