Mutools announces the pre-releases of the fifth version of its MuLab sequencer and MUX VST plugin.
New in MuLab 5:
- Added MuClips: preset files that combine a sequence part together with its target sound module. They can be used in other sessions or shared with other users.
- Multi-core processors support
- Multi-functional browser where you can find all samples, sequences etc in your session, but also your MUX preset, wave and MIDI files etc on your system, with drag and drop support.
- Extended Drag and Drop support: more options to drag objects onto other objects
- Enhanced automation and modulation envelopes (editing, curves…)
- Extended MUX Power with new Sequence Player and Note Key Ranger modules, 32 meta-parameters, parameter name customization, enhanced audio filter algorithme, Smart Bypass for VST plugins…
- Enhanced support For designing your own MUX front panels.
- Extended shortcut system with the ability to assign multiple functions to a single shortcut (like little macros)
- Restyled user interface with presets and more customization available
- Several enhancements and corrections

The MUX 5 VST plug-in is also available as a pre-release. MUX is both a modular synth and effect plugin that can be used in MuLab or as a VST plug-in for Windows 32 and 64-bit. It features the MuSynth, MuSampla, MuPad and MultiSampla sample players, as well as the MuDrum drum module and it can be used in a multiscreen configuration.
