The only weakness I found in the characteristics, the number of keys "stop" mode RPPR on a Triton Pro and ProX (I know, it's technical), I had spoken to the time on TritonHaven.
Otherwise it's all good! The knobs, ribbon nice, a good joystick (solid saw my use), six outputs ....
The only thing that has not aged is the SCSI port, it is clear that it is not USB. Vi Ah, another major weakness compared to newts following: no hard drive, so you need to load your samples at each ignition ...

UTILIZATION

As well tell you right away: my book is horny, erased, torn ... But now it is really rare that I open it.
Editing of sounds does not seem very complex (at the same time it's my first REAL synth editable after Roland XP10) and worth the trouble to look.

Otherwise, the beautiful touch screen simplifies the task quite a lot for editing.

For my part, I like the sounds grimey, the NIN, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher ...
I transferred all sounds "realistic" and now my Triton is composed almost sounds as characters, created from scratch or by torturing presets.
So much to say right away that I have not managed to make great filter effects analos hot, but for everything else .... SONNE this synth! And I insist heavily on it! You can safely do so screaming, moaning, screaming, cooing, purring, crying ... Combi mode, synth waves more than adequate, the effects hallucinations, four LFOs, give you plenty of opportunities to make big sound or sound that zarb squeaky fart and burp. Seeking, plenty of effects and features that you can turn to the drill, the feedback, the parasite, etc ...
So yes, it's a ROMpler (I said that I have no éextension or MOSS), but hey, to stop spitting on it, it can do a little of everything and a lot more than that, we can make zarb, electronica, etc., on a ROMpler!
I add to what I found the aftertouch (essential for my game) more than adequate.

OVERALL OPINION

Ralalah my Triton is a solid love story ...

at the time, I remember too that I had tested other, but for me it was sure it was him and no other. I think in retrospect to have been close to two years to exploit 80% of possibilities, but hey, hey, this is my first REAL synth, again!
I love its effects 7, the ribbon, its outputs (which prevents the sound engineer farts more cable than is necessary ... for the record, the first question I always balance it, " the distortion is normal? ")
I do not like his sequencer, sound samples and mapping ... that his successors (studio, extreme ...) are so attractive!
One more thing: there is a community ULTRA ACTIVE Tritonhaven on, among other sites, which allow beginners and confirmed to move faster
Today, I confess, I am reluctant to sell it to relieve my lower back and to turn to a keyboard and a micromodular ion or other microQ or something like that .... But I confess that I am very afraid to take the plunge! We will see in the future!
